** The Official Days Gone Thread **

Finished! Loved it tbh, first game I've 100% for ages. Such a shame there's no 2 planned.

The pacing of the whole game could've been improved, can't really say how without getting spoilery. But overall great characters and story, graphics were great (especially for a PS4 game) gameplay was a lot of fun, I want more hordes to take down!:D

I noticed there was a reset missions option appeared after the big ending in the menu options if you want more.

Been playing this a fair bit today. Really liking it. It's just got that 'feel' somehow. That thing you can't quite put your finger on, but you know games like Cyberpunk just don't have!

What I find ironic is that two of the best high profile games I have played in years are both console exclusives that made it to PC eventually. Great gameplay, great story and never encountered any major issues.

Horizon zero Dawn
Days Gone.

The only PC "uber" game I enjoyed as much was Watchdogs Legion.

Is Legion any good then? I got it free with my GPU and haven't got around to really starting it yet. Previous WD games have been pretty ***** for me

I tried it with RT to test it and was impressed, it really shows what RT can do way more than CP2077. Though this is obvioulsy more about the gameplay and while it started slowly you just simply get drawn in by the detail of the world around you. The story itself is the usual overdone save the world from an evil authoritarian regime but the fact you can play as literally anyone is a key factor that rises it above the rest.

I picked a random person to hack and it said they were heading to St James' Park to relax and I followed them to see if this was just some random BS. They actually did head to the park and sat on a bench for a while. I saw another female NPC take down an Albion Security guy who was harrasing her and thought I would recruit her and ended up playing as her for most of the game, until she died. I was gutted when she did die because I went through so many missions with her and she had no special skills. I also liked that aspect of the gameplay because you became attached to people and if you play ironman mode when they die they are gone from the team.

It does have it's issues and did miss some really good tricks, such as joint ops where you switch between operatives to complete their part of a mission. Though overall I would give it a solid 8/10 for the fact it did introduce somethign new to the genre.

ok thanks bud. Might give it a whirl, got a lot of games to play though which is great but also bad in a way. Too much choice and all that....

Just completed the game, first playthrough straight on survivor mode.

I really enjoyed it, one of the best games I've played for a while. A bit repetitive in the end, but I really enjoyed the story and that kept me going.

Just need to finish off a few hoards and complete a few of the camp missions and a few collectibles and I'm all done.

Now i want Days Gone 2...

Thanks, I signed it too. Not sure if Sony will be listening but hey, worth a shoot ! :p
Yep, one of the best games I've ever played. Kinda bummed it's over.

Contemplating starting again on survival mode II, but I may lose interest half way through. The only things I didn't fully collect were a few nero logs and a few tourism and character collectibles.

Been playing this for 35 hours now and very impressed with it. Very good game and can't think of any criticism anywhere. Great graphics and the voice acting is top notch. There are no characters that become annoying for some reason as most games have them. I never really take notice of the story in these types of games and usually skip it all but with this game I have sat and followed the story all the way through.
Loads to do and killing hordes never gets boring. The second half of the game definitely ramps up the story as it's a little slow to start with.

All in all one of the best games I've played this year and I play a lot of games.
