*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

There is competitive multiplayer ala team deathmatch etc. It's called the Crucible. I'm not sure exactly what typical modes it has, but there are a few I believe, at least one of which is akin to CoD/Battlefield domination.
 
Whoooo delivered :D now just got to wait until 6PM :( Damn work that lets me buy all these shiney games get in the way of me playing them!
 
I quite enjoyed the alpha/beta of this but I'm not really feeling the hype for the full game. Think part of that is out of sheer worry that it'll be broken and somewhat unplayable for the first few weeks ala Battlefield. I am interested in seeing what it's like though so I think I'll give it a proper look in a few weeks once I'm done with Metro.
 
I asked them to ship it to work but they have defaulted the address and shipped it to my home, not that happy but my neighbours are alright, saying that they're probably playing it now :o won't be in till after 8!

From the few hours I've put in so far, I haven't had any server issues whatsoever.

And as for the Metacritic reviews, anyone can go trolling on there. You see it all the time.

Just had a quick lunchtime sesh, joined Lord_Zed for a level 6 mission (I was only level 4). Oh my, so many enemies :D and those giant purple eyeball things
 
What worries me is the story element which i read a few critics previewing the game complained about.

I played the beta, if i didn't play so many fps' recently (currently i am in the middle of BF4, CODBO2 Wiiu, Crysis 2+3, borderldands 2 vita, titanfall and i haven't installed yet CODGhosts) i would say this is a very good game and if it had couch coop it would be my No1. But with all the above in the middle i feel that i am full of FPS games, i just want one game with a nice story like Metal Gear Solid. Plus i tried Destiny on PS3 which to me the visuals looked too blurry and i think that games from the past didnt look as blurry as this one. But i am sooo close in picking a ps4 and the game. Just need a good excuse.
 
Just come off it, level 8, quite like it but sick of going back to the same maps though!

Spent ages collecting something then got kicked off server and lost them all grrrr

Really enjoying it so far but hope the maps get better
