*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

Looks like I'm doing something very wrong then. As I said, I literally get one shot constantly in PVP or am knocked down to very little health in one shot, but for me, my grenades do minimal damage, my shots also do minimal damage no matter the weapon. In my experience the Hunter seems to be an extremely weak class in PVP.

Maybe it's due to being a relatively low level player in PVP as I was between level 6-8 when I tried it, and everyone else seemed to be upper teens, but I thought it was supposed to scale and make it fair for everyone.

Hmmmmmm....

decisions, decisions, do I stick or twist. I believe all three being leveled up would be beneficial. But will I really play the game that amount to get 3 fully leveled characters?

I don't really want to do the same missions again for 4th time so quickly (played alpha and beta), so I think I will give the Hunter a proper chance before leaving.

I was using a hunter when I jumped into your game last night.

All right, I was at level 9 to your 4 or 5 but I settled on an Auto rifle as my main and it's made a big difference in both PVE and PVP.

Auto rifle is best when you are starting out, but as your aim gets better it is easier to hit weak spots with the more precise weapons ;D

(I'm still using auto rifle at lvl 20 huehuehue but I have been playing around with Pulse Rifles too)

Shotguns in close quarter always wins. Hunter paired with hand cannon for relative distance shooting then switching to shotgun when in anywhere enclosed.

Oh and the Hunters golden gun needs to be timed right, many a times I've seen people turn it on when in combat, use your radar and anticipate! Turning it on in front of me and my shottie = boom!

I just had a go on the Xbox 360 version of this and I was amazed at how good it looks on the 360. You can tell it's lower res but it still looks very good. Considering the hardware jump from 360 to PS4 it's quite amazing the 10 odd year old hardware manages so well.

I did some pvp with lateralus and turbo last night, much more fun in a group.

Put me down as a maybe for tonight. My boss is leaving for a new job so we're all going to the pub at 3, depends how long I stay out and if I can even see the screen :p

Yep had some good games last night, the level 18 strike was interesting, looking forward to the higher ones now :D. Have really warmed to the PvP aspect of the game now, especially when in a fire team working together with comm’s, makes for a completely different game.

Downsides so far, would be nice if loading times could be reduced in a future patch, even going back to the tower (which is not a big map) seem to take a bit of time, and spend a bit too much time looking at your ship

I tried the crucible when I was lvl7 or 8 and didn't do so well but it was only a few games and I didn't know the maps and was making dinner at the same time so its hard to take too much from the little I have played.

The hunter did seem rather underpowered compared to a lot of other players but quite a lot of them were higher level and would just destroy me. I have no idea how close I was coming to killing some of them but I would shoot them a fair bit then die.

Are you sure you are playing the PS4 version at 1080p?

The difference between 720p and 1080p on a 1080p monitor is massive.

Whats the best way to level up and improve my defence and weapons

Im on level 4 and my weapons are very weak when I tried a strike mission as I think it was level 8 strike.

Should I try crucible? , although Im not sure if I can get into that yet.

So much stuff unlocks at later levels, people saying this doesn't have enough content are so wrong. I just reached level 18.

Yes, Tbh I find it very hard to tell the difference from 720p & 1080p on my 47" Tv sat 4-5 feet back on the sofa. On a monitor it is easier as you are generally sat closer.

the game is awesome, more content sure does get unlocked, Im only on level 4 although most stuff unlocked apart from story is a bit hard at present while my weapons and defence is poor.

Has anyone noticed duplicate items in the inventory?

Im not sure why this happens but I have had a few things duplicated like some of the armour, I just dismantle anything the same but why is this.
