*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

For a game I had no interest in as it's a FPS as I don't really play them on consoles managed to clock up 19 hours game time  .... Only because I played the beta got this game even the PvP which I'm terrible at I'm enjoying worst game was 11 deaths 3 kills and 2 assists ... But I do take pleasure throwing a grenade and watching them die after they killed me :D .... Working out how to play as a bladedancer hunter.

Looking for friends PSN: PsychoKnight666

Already part of a clan but it's abit quite

Can anyone explain how the subclasses work?

I just got to level 15 last night on my hunter so decided to swap it to blade dancer I think it's called but I couldn't select any of the skills nor did I get any upgrade points back from those spent on the first subclass (gunslinger I think).

Just now I decided to try Titan for a bit and noticed I could change the subclass right away when I hit level 2 in the intro level, but the upgrade point is only available for the striker subclass.

Just a bit confused to how it works if anyone could clear it up! Thank you :)

once you have a lvl 15 character, you unlock sub classes for all your characters, but you have to gain exp to unlock skills still for the sub class.

That's why my hunter is abit weak having to upgrade all those skills again ... Don't nerf it having so much fun in PvE clearing a room with it :D:D

Yeah sub-class you have to basically start from scratch and level up those abilities. But you could have both maxed out eventually on 1 character to switch between at any point.

Haven't done any on my Hunter yet though - will have to try those ones.

On GAF they were saying that to level the subclass quickly you just change to it before you hand in quests/missions etc.

Anyone levelling Sunsinger yet? Any good?

Thank you both, defender class for the Titan looks like it will be better so going to stick with that for a bit!

Especially bounties, cos those give a tonne of EXP.

Sunslinger super power looks pretty meh to me. Doubt anyone will be levelling with them when you can be throwing out the ball of doom on the other sub class ;D

Good point, I do that with weapons but hadn't thought about it for the sub-classes. I'll remember to do that - but will prob just max my initial class first then do that to get the next one up.

Sunslinger is great, going to be required for raids i think. Being able to throw out 4/5 grenades really quickly is awesome. Not to mention regenerating allies abilities!

Part of me wants to just go out and buy this, even though my fears from the beta seem to be present

Dont.. Know!

If you hate shooters or grinding, don't buy it.

If you like shooters + MMO style grinding + playing with others, then buy it.

Story is meh (depends how much you can connect with the game lore / setting), social features are severely lacking compared to most multiplayer games, but gameplay is really solid.
