I don't see why that would be any better than some of the moon farming locations, particularly the thralls one at the beginning of the dark within. More enemies to kill faster and a few yellows for glimmer.

I thought with the moon locations you have to die and respawn to do it, while as this one you just stand there killing a constant flow of enemies

You do but it takes ~5 seconds, you just let one of the last mobs kill you and you respawn almost instantly with the ~50 mobs running at you straight away again. For sheer numbers, I can't think of anywhere better.

I did that one and the moon (temple of crota?) mission grinding for a few hours last night. Neither of them were particularly impressive. Got maybe 4 or 5 blues and 10 greens. Nowhere near what the recent Kotaku article showed (tons of greens and blues within ten minutes).

The cave one is best if it's just you doing it, as there are normally a load of people all grinding there, and if they aren't in your fireteam then you don't get any loot from their kills.

Overall the cave one is easiest as the loot all falls in one place. In the moon one, it is a room full of enemies so the loot could drop behind a pillar and you might miss it.

Think its random as I done the moon temple farming last night for no more than 30 minutes and came away with 3 blues and about 4 greens. not bad!

I must say the reward system is strange in this game, I can understand it being random which is a good thing but from all the games I have played so far (crucible) it seems the top players always get rubbish rewards or nothing at all, and the bottom players get good stuff!

I just came top in control and got nothing and its happened a lot, I think the top player in each team should at least get something and then the 2nd-6th players get randoms?

**Where is this cave place for farming engrams?, cheers.

That cave farming looks good for a 'not dying loop' compared to Moon.

The moon is great for when you need Fusion Rifle Bounty. That cave looks great for solo farming.

In Old Russia, if you remember where you first encountered the wizard? You go through there and carry on for a bit until you are outside again. You'll most likely see a couple of players standing on some concrete blocks shooting at a cave. So go stand in front of them and try to steal their kills :D

There are videos on YouTube that explain it better though

Are legendary engrams a different colour to the blue engrams?

I always thought that it was just green and blue engrams but with the blues being a possible of uncommon/rare/legendary when you got to decrypt them.

so is a purple a guaranteed legendary or does it work in the same way as blue with a random of uncommon/rare/legendary but maybe with a better chance of legendary.

Purple = minimum you'll get is some Rare or Material. Chance of getting Legendary and Exotic on top of that.

I got one yesterday.

Trollcryptarch gave me a rare.

A tear rolled out in disappointment.

You get used to it, there cant be more than a 15% chance to get a legendary from a purple engram, I just decrypted one now to get a blue, I wasn't even the slightest bit disappointed.

I did just get a second legendary bounty for handing in one of my dailies so I suppose I cant complain

not got a legendary yet but I have a ton of blues to trade in, lets hope!!

By the way where are the different factions in the tower located? Im wondering if I should change my faction or stick with vanguard.

Not actually sure If I can change yet, I'm level 20 but I might need to level up other things first. I'm guessing its best to stick with vanguard for better choice though?

Purples can give greens too, which is a real kick in the teeth...

Just got a legendary helmet from an engram, which is annoyingly the same as the one I just spent 120 vanguard marks on. xD

This game makes farming on Diablo a complete mick take.

If a drop drops, it is what it is in Diablo 3. This game's ingram drop makes one excited only to get shot down by another chance. A gambler's wet dream.
