Frustratingly accurate:

I'd be happy with any blue price of armour the has some light.

I've not had a single one since getting to level 20 and keep getting bloody blue guns all the time from the crucible. :(

I'm not even rank 1 vanguard yet as I changed to dead orbit as soon as I could. Almost rank 2 for that but it's taking an age to go up - although I haven't done much patrol, just bounties.

This game is brilliant but it certianly feelsl ike the foundations for something so much greater. I can think of 10 things to patch ASAP that would really help move it along.

A larger change for the future I'd love would be a more involved world while on Patrol. Such as the option to match enemy to your level (if you want) and also add more enemies in some of the locations. From there, make the enemies fight more and maybe add in control points to the maps.

This way you feel like you're changing things. and getting involved. IE if you kill 100 Fallen and only 1o Hive while on Patrol then the Hive will take over that part of the map or something.

I just feel like there could be a lot more going on in the world while exploring. I'm sure many cool features will come, and I'm enjoying the hell out of it as it is.

An immediate fix they need to add NOW is to stop this random map rotation nonsense. Having the same map 3 times in a row on strike playlist or in crucible is daft. Why doesn't it just cycle through?

haha so true - I miss those boss drops from Borderlands and Diablo.

First time I did a a strike on Destiny I braced myself for the loot to go flying and have to collect it - then nothing at all dropped (it never does). Loved Borderlands when the purple guns just went all over the place after killing those end game bosses.

In fact, I've done 45 or so strikes and not 1 boss has dropped even a green. So, do bosses EVER drop things in Destiny?
Or is it always just a random chance after the timer?

They should at least drop like 5-6 greens/blues with a small chance of a purple - come on Bungie buff the drop rate - loot drops from bosses adds to the fun factor so I feel unless drops are increased many people will just lose interest - especially as you need the drops to unlock major parts of the actual game content!!

I feel it's not about how hard the enemies are (i.e. end boss) but more about the hordes and counts. i.e. Doing the moon mission outside the temple, killing only Tralls, I get loads of drops because I headshot and multi-kills with Fusion Rifle.

Killing the end boss, nada.

I was wondering about the headshots/crits/multi-kills etc earlier and whether or not it affects the drop rate.
I grinded that area yesterday for a few hours while blasting some heavy metal to keep my motivation levels up. Don't listen to the genre much these days but man it suits mowing down enemies on Destiny!!

It 'felt' like I got more drops when I was more accurate and got more headshot kills quickly but I couldn't be sure as sometimes nothing popped up. But yeah an hour or so gets so about 30 drops, typically around 10 Blues and maybe a purple or two if you're lucky. The greens are just the standard drops from Thralls so always the same gloves/leggings etc.

I must be cursed, literally. I did the same thing yesterday for almost an hour and got 4 drops!

Should hopefully be picking this up tonight, just a quick question..... how does single player work? I've read there isn't really a single player and you have to always be connected, is this true. Or can I play solo and level up the same character as when I'm with friends?

Only reason I'm asking for solo play is that the times I mostly play games, friends are working and when they're not, I'm working.... until weekends.

Yes you can play single-player, but you have to be online (connected to Destiny's Servers) all the time. You may see random public players around, but you don't have to be with your friends all the time.

I'm gonna farm "the cave" tonight... hoping to get something useful.

I've also got an exotic bounty to continue with... just hope there is no PvP requirement as I suck.
