Guys, I can't find a definitive answer on this: Can xbox one and ps4 players play together?
Pretty sure it isnt.
That sucks that this big thing about it being available on the 17th actually turns out that you cant play it for 2/3rds of the day!
Also I am still somewhat confused about this beta...I've preordered the game through the PSN on a PS4, I've been able to download the beta but I've not received a code of any kind tho. I assume the idea is you would link the BETA code to your bungie account and that's what you'd log into the Destiny servers with when the BETA goes live.

You log in with your PSN account regardless of where you got the game.
To link it with your bungie account, I think you need to sign into your bungie account on their site and just add your psn/live ID, but that's optional and not required as far as I am aware. Although if you've redeemed all of the bonus cards (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=26237533&postcount=159) then it's prob best to do that (I think what these cards do will only occur when the game gets released, not beta?).

Personally I'd suggest it's the going to be the game of the year; a true evolution in FPA/Multiplayer game. I'm not sure how anyone who has played it so far, or experienced the Alpha can come to that conclusion. For me it's a great mix of Halo/Borderlands/MMO features and I really enjoyed the Alpha.
Either way worth playing the beta for.
This system to get codes for physical pre-orders has been poorly planned. Along with the missing Guardian Digital edition on EU PSN it's created confusion and encouraged people to pre-order and then cancel with some retailers (i.e. Amazon or PSN).
All that's going to happen is from 5pm onwards the system goes through an absolute stress test of mega proportions. And the risk is it takes hours (or until tomorrow) for us to get onto the game.
It would have been far better to let people have codes early and at least commence the initial install of the Beta download file. If they did this simply to stop people uploading on auction sites then that was not a good enough reason.
