*** The Official Diablo III Thread ***

Got a wee bit carried away with myself. Only planned to get to 70 and call it a day but now P210ish with a full set of gear. Bit sleepy.

Man they really need to add 1 or 2 extra choices to off-hand rerolling on class items (mojos, quivers, crusader shields, etc) as the amount of stats they can roll is insane. Up to 2.5 million on my mojo for Garg damage and hasn't appeared once. It's not really a lot in the grand scheme of these but it's pretty brutal at the start of a season. Constantly at 0 forgotten souls.

No Jeram's or TNT's yet either :(

ive got my jerams and taskers, both from kadala i think but cant get a compass rose or pledge yet lol. RNG is RNG.

Infact i think im still wearing a yellow amulet. Need to get a proper run on paragons, only sitting at 200 odd atm

Not really played seasonal before, just finished getting my 6 piece tal rashas (from the gifts), & I'm reading something about set dungeons? all I can find is its something for cosmetic rewards, so not worth chasing after I guess?

Each class specific set has a "Set Dungeon" somewhere in the world where you need to complete challenges or varying difficulty to complete them. See this thread for more info, but I'd also check YouTube for a video walkthrough of whichever you're after.

Finally hit Paragon 250 in seasonal HC.

SMKs: 4
Shard of Hate: 1
Sacred Harvesters: 1 (using the cube, not seen one drop)
Jerams Mask: 0
TNT's: 0
Ancients: 1

Still using a rare amulet and one rare ring.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This game sometimes...

Actually enjoying monk this season, haven't played it since the initial exploding palm season.

Which build are you playing? LTK build looked a lot of fun :)

Also as a general note, Blizzard are at Gamescom 2016 next week. Hopefully some Diablo related news, although not really expecting anything until Blizzcon.

I thought the previous Wave of Light build on my monk was hilariously OP and fun but Quinn's LTK build takes it to a whole new level. This dude has contributed some great build options for Diablo 3 monk players over the many seasons, well done to him.

Just done my seasonal extra stash tab completion so went back to non season (no reason to stick with seasonal and struggle getting optimum gear, I like a bit of grind but no way yet again after 6 seasons) and did a proper LTK build with my non seasonal monk, using all ancient item setup, @1800 paragon level thrown in and OMG. Totally smashes through T13, even with full 4 players and max mob health. Some of the fastest other class builds can barely keep up with you once you start proc'ing Geom and dash from elite to elite continues spam of blind, dash and lots of LTKs for all. Mad build, loving it.

With a slight tweak in the build (CoE + BotS), I can easily do extremely fast GR70-80. Can manage higher GRs but I becomes a bit too squishy with this build and end up with too many 'accidental' deaths which does not make this build worth it to try any higher, at least for me it doesn't (use Quinn's latest generator build to push). Still, great for quick gem leveling and tons of fun. Highly recommend to any monk player to follow Quinn's LTK build. 2 thumbs up.

Know what you mean, hit a bit of a wall at t9/gr43, too squishy till I get some more ancients for better toughness. Set Source can be ancient right? spent tons on kadala & not got an ancient yet (plenty of none set ancient source), not even badly rolled.

I rolled both Quins LTK Monk and Bigdadaddydens Garg' Witch Doctor this season. Both are insane but I found keeping up the sweeping wind annoying on the Monk. My WD however is eating through content, running through a t12 rift with 4 other players, I weren't giving them a chance to kill stuff :D

Yeah I had the same problem with the LTK monk. At first, I found my sweeping wind stacks were dropping nearly all the time and I actually started to dislike the build but then I watched Quinn's video on his LTK build and picked up a few pointers which makes it much easier.

1) Get max Crit Chance through items and paragon, max is 53.50% iirc. The more crit the more likely the sweeping wind will get refreshed cause it does so on each crit hit.
2) Positioning, it is vital to position yourself in the midst of mobs, the LTK hits all around so the more mobs you hit, the more likely you'll get a crit and refresh some stacks. Hardest thing is to fight 1 or 2 mobs, like bosses or elites, trick is, try to draw them into crowds of mobs or simply quickly dash to a nearby stack of mobs, hit them a bit to refresh and dash back.
3) Whenever you are attacking just a few mobs, 1 to 3 like bosses and elites, keep 1 eye on the stack counter, if it drops below 3 or 2, simply dash away and give it @5 secs to refresh then dash back in. PS the stacks DO NOT refresh if you are taking damage, so in some instances, when you drop your stacks and you're surrounded by mobs or damage effects, it can be a problem.

It took me some practice but once you master it, believe me, it is the most powerful monk build I have played so far in all of the seasons and good fun too plus super fast if you can kill elites quick enough and dash to the next pack of elites.

Anyways, watch Quinn's video or at least I hope the above pointers will increase your ability to keep the stacks up and enjoy the LTK monk more.

Cheers.

Honestly Monk are awful, I've played them all seasons up until this one. Outside of Uliana's and the O.G Torchpalm/Serenity varient, their builds have been abysmal and unfun. LTK/Gen Monk being the only viable options this season has put them six feet deep for me.

Though Seismic Slam potentially replacing the god awful Raekors they've had all 6 seasons and WW being Torment capable finally has made Barbarian very alluring! Speed torment rifts always put a smile on my face with a spinny barb, it's like Season 4 all over again.

Isn't Monk LTK much faster speed rifting than any of the barb builds?

I've had a look on diablo fans and people are saying the WW build isn't that fast for T13 whereas with Monk LTK you can solo T13 rather fast when properly geared.

I don't have any issue keeping sweeping wind stacks up either.
