It might be getting to the point when they just do a reset. Last season there were no new items
, they just played around with the skills and added some torment levels.

Get the feeling Season 8 might just be another short season, fully expect something Diablo related at blizzcon.

Going to try and get into this again! Had it on console and loved it! Adventure mode was great and rifts were addictive but on pc as i havent played through the campaign yet, i cant do adventure mode! So finding the main quest a bit if a bore!
Currently a wizard only level 26 playing on expert, may take the exp knock and go down to hard to make it a bit quicker?
May try barbarian, but for now maybe i should just carry on as wizard to unlock adventure mode

will there be a Diablo 4?
I don't see what releasing an entirely brand new game is going to achieve. An expansion with the correct content is all this game needs. 1-2 new classes, a new act, maps, mobs, 10+ levels (which takes us to 80+ max), some new skills and some new content for adventure mode. Plus with the way blizzard price their expansions it's 10x easier to make content for an expansion than it is to redo an entire game, both of which would be priced about the same anyway.
Releasing a new expansion limits what they can do creatively, which in my eyes is a good thing because I don't trust them to not dumb down the franchise even more than they already have done.

Season 8 is looking kind of plain to me, at least 7 had some changes (even though they nerfed my pet spec on the morning of release!).
Monetization. Diablo 3 doesn't earn them any regular money through microtransactions like their other games. I hope that's wrong because I agree it would be great to have more Diablo 3 content.
Monetization can be achieved in Diablo 3. All you have to do is look at the Chinese version of the game for proof. All the development is already done for any monetization of d3.
I'm not so sure. Diablo 3 was designed for a full price retail/digital distribution model in the EU/US (probably where the game has experienced the majority of it's financial success) and I'm not sure how successful a business model change would be at this point of the game's life. My guess is Blizzard Activision believe a new Diablo designed as a full price plus microtransation model game would be more financially successful than an expansion or changing the business model for D3. We might find out soon and maybe they have resources or plans to do both.

Won't happen outside of there.
Something will happen at Blizzcon the strongest rumour seems to be something we don't expect, not an expansion, not a 4th Diablo but something else.
We won't know until Blizzcon though and I'm just hoping it's something as last year was awful! (the area for Diablo at last years Blizzcon was smaller than the toilets).

You know what i would love to see? a new MMORPG from Blizzard set in the Diablo Universe, could bring out all the classes from previous Diablos etc and some new ones.
