Good fun running with Mach and Pearson right up until we got Delta'd followed by the Mike error...

Highlight was Pearson deciding we should go rouge, killing two agents and then getting absolutely steam rolled by the third.:D

Oh and death alley, can't forget death alley. Should have guessed something was up as the enemies were spawning out of nowhere.

I *think* I got some decent loot. I wasn't paying much attention to what dropped (I know I got a high end chest) but got disconnected before I couldn't check it all out in my stash.

EDIT: Thanks to Facebaker for the relatively painless run through the Lincoln Tunnel checkpoint mission.

EDIT2:

Well that (increased conversion cost) is crap. One step forward, one step back...

Was good fun. That third guy who just melted us, wow! I'm inclined to put it down to the server behaving oddly...can't have been anything else. :D

Those guys must have been suspicious that we were going to go rogue when we were all circling round the extraction point.

The Navy MP5 N is such a great gun to play with even with my garbage roll and base power. Not quite as laser like as the Vector but with the bigger mag it has, makes up for it with the vertical "wobble". I just need to figure out what to get next I think maybe some of the electronics/stamina gear although that RPK maybe a suitable replacement for my trusty phakan.

I have been playing with a number of builds to see what works now that I have more high end items, and try to get that balance between dps, health and skills rather than solely focus on DPS which I think was my biggest mistake early game.

After struggling the last week or so to try and get challenge modes done (god damn those running shot-gunners) I was with a group of guys last night (ex/current destiny players) and we managed to crank out 3 completed runs with not too much of an issue. The third run I decided to go max scavenging 159% to see if that got me more high-ends and seemed it did work as I got 3 total at the end of the run (2 from boss, 1 from completion) although I was getting battered a lot as it had dropped my health down to low 50K

my build currently sits at 170K, 65K, 13K for max dps after seeing how high I could get my new shiny mp5 but I think I will drop 30K - 40K dps to up the health and electronics.

For a base "general" high end build would something like 120K dps, 80K health, 40K electronics be a good starting point or am I in the land of make believe and unicorns with this as a base build?

I am just struggling at the moment to get that decent blend of all the stat types to bring up my overall build to something that doesn't feel like a squishy hunter at times especially against those level 32's.

You may be in for hard times for the challenging incursion mode going for a jack of all trades master of none build.

The current way to go seems to be either pure firepower, or pure electronics.

Your skill power build can be both an effective healer, and a damage dealer when combinging talents and using heal / stickybomb.

I think what I want to get too is have something that won't melt as soon as it gets a bit heated but isn't so focused on dealing with a specific scenario. I generally like to stay back and snipe from range rather than get up close, so running that more "medic/support" role within group games (although it is fun just to Leroy Jenkins it some times ;p ).

I have been running that "glass cannon" approach to varying degrees of success but it shows unless I am teamed up with a "super" healer I am just going to melt like a snowman in the midday sun. I generally will run support station, recovery link and sticky bomb either BFB or flashbang.

The issue I'm having (other than not being able to craft all my gear as not DZ50) is keeping the stats balanced enough to keep the talents active on my guns.

My Vector has Brutal, Destructive and Fierce which is a great combo but requires a min stat of 1880-odd on F/S/E so I'm stuck on my build at the moment until I can get a ilvl 31 vest and gloves

EDIT: My build is currently 133K/57k/22.5k

mod slots on gear? craft required mod for stat.

After the announcement of the crafting nerf I'm not sure what to do.

Do I craft the last couple of bits I need knowing that the price of the craft will go up or shall I save everything in case of some amazing crafts I can get?

I think the nerf will get reversed or amended pretty quickly anyway.

As much as I love this game, at first wasn't sure but now with better gear I'm enjoying it much more. I just absolutely loathe the DZ, seems everytime I get in there I get battered by idiots who keep going rogue lol.

I mean geezus I'm not even picking up stuff to extract mainly because my equipped gear is better. I went in last night for a bit and I already started dreading it but somehow managed with another guy to extract some gear for materials.

I have survivor link on so threw it on before me and him extracted but luckily no rogues. But as I was running around minding my own business....bam blasted by 3 rogues. Sucks that you lose some credits and xp but meh it is what it is.

I'm at lvl 32 and would love to get to 50 but at the moment it seems far too tough, having to deal with enemies then rogue players.

With the right amount of mods, perks and talents, not many compromises need to be made for a high DPS build.

I'm currently sitting at 203k primary DPS(SMG), 84k health and 20k skill. I could perfect the build further as I would happily trade the 3k DPS for extra health. There's no point crafting any better gear or mods at this point when we're at the cusp of a new update which will usher in new gear and higher costs for crafting gear.

I melt lesser geared players, most of the time they die before they hit the floor.

Edit; currently enjoy rolling solo in the lower levelled areas of the DZ, so many teams of 2-4 attempting to gank solo players. Love taking them out when they go rogue on me expecting an easy kill.

Anyone found the Breaking Bad easter egg echo yet?

I'm collecting all the bits around the city and came across it. I was about to leave when I saw the hoody and though it may be info about Aaron Keener. It still didnt register til I'd read the names twice and their bios. Brilliant.

Wow, Division tech is completely locked down, people must have the crates on farm as it seems nigh on impossible to come across any. Apparently the respawn timer is over 2 hours? Madness.

don't fall into this trap.

The talents are designed for synergy with your play style. If you're going for a DPS build, get weapons with talents that only need firearms.

If you're going for a skill build, get weapons that recharge your skills and don't need crazy high firearms, but will require you to have high skill power.

There are plenty of talents that need like 1889 electronics to activate. Don't fall into the trap of thinking you must get 1889 electronics to have that stat active for the sake of having it active. This is why DPS players go after Brutal + Deadly. Both only need firearms which DPS players will have plenty of.

Yup attempted to scrounge a bit last night running with Mach & Pearson and found none (well I had one drop from a enemy).

Mainly playing this solo, and finding the DZ is a bit too much of a grind alone; occasionally I'll follow a group around to help out - but when you meet a group of 5-6 rogue players; it's time to leave the DZ for me!

Think I need to start squadding up with some of my OcUK family - so feel free to add me PSN ID: TheScort.

I'll jump on most evenings, until the wife has plans for me :D, usually on from six ish onwards.
