***The Official E2140/E2160 Overclocking Thread***

lol! Well done Big Wayne!

The Cheapest I can see an X6800 dual core 2.93ghz (stock volts) is around £508 +P&P  (OcUK dont sell them anymore, so no moaning about mentioning prices!)

E2140 can be had for around £50 & clocks to 3.2ghz! omg!

bargain of the century!! Excellent!

I wonder what the temps would be liked if you lapped the cpu & water cooling? maybe able to push it further?

Certainly made C2D a cheap option - AMD doesnt even have that advantage anymore. When there was just the 6*** range it was an expensive choice (ram was also much more expensive)

My price for converting (after sales), a whopping £70. Performance wise its gotta be the best 70 quid ive ever spent.

MEH!

Only getting 2.8Ghz still... 1.4185v in BIOS + 100mv offset, RAM Unlinked running at 667Mhz.

See the picture above, temps are pretty low for Stock volts, sometimes they spike to 65c for a while.

Will not boot at 1265 FSB and I cannot figure out why, funny feeling this is a bad chip.

Pack Date: 04/24/07

were does it stop?

is the 20 more than the 4300 for the 4mb worth it? :p

I was under the impression that the cut down from 2mb to 1mb has more performance impact than from 4mb to 2mb, not sure though.

If the E21*0 proved to be more overclockable than the E4*00 than it's defo the ultimate budget chip.

No...I think there's more to come yet.......quick run, will test more later. These do run VERY hot though.....hotter than my Quad core at same speed

Primed ? Love the high temps mate.

I recogn 3.2 it is then ;)

That is the latest version of Prime running on the left of that picture ;)
Also, AI Suite shows both cores at 100% load.
