***The Official E2140/E2160 Overclocking Thread***

Sorted it :D It didn't like the mix of IDE and SATA HDD for some reason.Removed the IDE drive installed windows and then installed the ide.
All i need to do now is return this mobo to OcUK and order another.

Just a quick Q for you guys

3500+ Newcastle @ stock 2.2 V's an E2140 @ stock ?

cheers fella's I already guess it'll be the 2140 f.t.w

I'm going to say the E2140 would just edge it... per core that is. And that's not taking into account power usage / heat.

cheers for that got to put together a budget system for my brother, was going to scrap my shuttle let him pck over it but decided up a fresh build using E2140, 2 gig ram, 250 gig hdd, drd r/w, all in a tidy antec htpc case. only comes to just shy of £250 incl mobo

Curious, what volts are people willing to put through these and what temp full load would be acceptable?

Just to get an idea of how hard I should push the poor thing.

Also on P353-DSR3 i'm unsure of the setting of memory/FSB frequency.
To me it looks like im setting a ration on the memory to run at half the FSB frequency.
Is there another way of doing this, or am I stuck with this method (to which I have few set options).

~1.5-6v if you are extreme and want to push it for all it can do, temps up to around 70c should be the max. :)

Well i'm touching 60 tops full load under the stock cooler... (1.35) how much headroom is there on these things :O.

I built a friends system just yesterday, with an E2160 and a P5N-E, and got to 3GHZ with no problems.

I left it there as I didn't want to push it, since it wasn't mine and all :)

Nice little chip however.

Just bought a e2160 and a Asrock 4quad VSTA.

Cheap little entrance to c2d really, will be running on that over the summer and demoting it to a server or a media centre when I'm back to uni I imagine.

Got it ordered on a really slow delivery though, could be here next monday at the latest :p

Ive had all my stuff sat here infront of me for 4 days.Had to RMA the mobo and order a DS3P.You might get your's up and running before me at this rate :D

It's beginning to feel like that!

Just had a confirmation email that it has been shipped but it's not showing on city links tracking yet.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow, then i can change my sig :D
