tell that too millions of people who watch sports (games)

The difference is a lot of sports (well the popular ones) are designed to be spectator sports. Games traditionally haven't been (although that is changing)

I'm more talking about the Lets Play style things. I can't imagine myself wanting to watch someone play an RPG for example, rather than experiencing it myself.

I have enjoyed it all so far and looking forward to the releases but i have put the ps4 as my day 1 and will pick up the xbox at a later date. I still hope when we hear about the dashboards we will have clan features built into them as having a home out of game with some nice clan features would me a massive hit for me.

Remember now though that PS4 is the more powerful console so SHOULD have an advantage in multiplat games. So where last gen a lot of the time it would make sense to buy a game on 360 instead of PS3, it will probably be the other way around this time, so you should get more use out of it.
In theory yes, but a few developers have already spoken about the huge power the cloud technology gives them with the Xbox One. I also think that we'll fairly soon reach a point where the graphical fidelity of the games is so similar between the consoles that it will make no difference whatsoever. Both consoles are pretty damn powerful and should be able to pump out exceptional looking games at 1080res and 60FPS. If the PS4 can run them at a few FPS faster then no-one would really be able to tell.

Not sure if i will even bother with a console this time round : / . I had an xbox 360 but wasnt fond of it and it kept breaking so sold up and bought a PS3 slim, mainly for the blu ray player and a few exclusives. Now it is pretty much solely used as a blu ray player. Games are far cheaper on PC (i normally wait a few months after release till everything is sub £10) and also no online gaming fee is a bonus. I have to have a good pc cpu and ram wise for my audio/music work so it is simply a matter of keeping up to date graphics card wise which isnt all that expensive. Even my pc has a blu ray drive in it now so apart from a few tempting exclusives i am finding it hard to get excited about these new consoles : /

The Xbox One is just weird. The two advantages of console gaming were that it is easy and you just pop a game in the disc tray and away you go + you can sell games easily and buy preowned games on the cheap e.t.c. The Xbox One has just got rid of those two advantages. Fail.

You missed one ( see bold ), and its quite an assumption that the Xb1 won't have any Indi games - you could equally counter your point by mentioning the small studio titles found on Xbox Arcade as being a perk for MS that Sony are still catching up quality wise.
It wont MS have stopped XBLIG and the ability to self publish, so yeah no more indie games without a publisher.

That argument is slightly dampened by the fact that Sony are introducing their own cloud technology isn't it?

Whats the info thats been released about the XO cloud stuff anyway? I've really not seen much and am intrigued.

I just don't get all the fuss.

I never lend my games to anyone, pretty much always buy new, tend to favour single player games (because I don't like paying for multiplayer / dealing with the inevitable lag fest most games turn into).

I have far more privacy concerns about what's on my Facebook than anything a Kinect could ever gain.

My broadband is almost never down and I practically am constantly connected to the Internet one way or another so don't see why it makes any odds that the Xbox needs to be online. What difference to anyone does it actually make.

The worst thing to come out of the Sony conference is that they want me to pay to play online (that was a big bonus for me and my PS3), and it has no camera bundled. Also the games that Microsoft look car more interesting.

However, my PS4 preorder has gone in as promised, but considering my PS3 was only ever used for Uncharted, MGS and Gran Turismo, I just hope they get some good exclusive games out that aren't crappy/freaky Jap RPG's.

I was going to write a decent reply, but when I clicked the Reply button, I was met with this:

Enough said, really.
