Thats it.

lets not complicate things :)

Just would like to add.

8hrs orthos would be a nice point to go on

Does it make much difference that the 4300 runs @800fsb?

I want to see some overclocking results also!! £110 delivered is almost burning a hole in my pocket thinking about it! :D

Minstadave, how about the Asus P5N-E? Looks like a great clocking board for the given budget price!

Will check it out now thanks. Haven't looked into the 650i either so i'll go do some leg work.

Anandtech: 9x375 (3375MHz) 1.468V using a stock Intel cooler.

"The E4300 gets even better in Q2 when its price will drop from $163 to $133, making it even more of a bargain."

I wonder if Overclockers will drop the price then too?

lots of different motherboards have been mentioned for this chip but it is a budget chip so we need the perfect budget mobo that has plenty of options and capable of high overclocks, so which one?

Aye, the P5N-E SLi is plenty budget enough :)

the ds3 is the same price is that not better?

People are having generally better OC results with the P5N-E I think due to its flexibility. The DS3 is a more mature product with regards to bios revisions too, so for the present and possibilities of further improvement in the future i'd say the P5N-E is the winner there.

Remember if you get 4Gb you are going to need a 64bit OS to use it.

Great RAM, but an expensive way to go. There's some 2x2GB kits not far off now that may well be cheaper.
