I have a horrible feeling that I might end up doing this as there is no sign of the X52 at ocuk and Im not sure I can wait once the open beta is out.

edit - just noticed that the non pro version is in stock, off to google that now..

Does this have enough buttons for everything?
Can you set up the side displays on separate displays yet?
What was the voice software called?
And do we have specs for beta and when is it out?

Got a e6200 with a gtx260 iirc which is buried in a cupboard somewhere
Or my laptop which I can connect upto monitor but that's an i3 1.3Ghz dual core, GT540M

Or am I going to need an upgrade.
 
Just a heads up for those in market for a mid/upper price Hotas, £165 (including import duties and shipping cost) for CH Fighterstick and CH Pro Throttle. Sale works out just over 30% discount. It is £250ish normally if buying over here in UK, not a bad deal. :)
 
Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is the best budget 'stick imo, I've tried the Hotas X, Saitek Cyborg X/Fly 5 and keep coming back to the Logitech.
 
I only see two prices £50 pre order inc beta + £35 life time DLC = £85 notes.

So that would be all I need then?

A little expensive but being an old C64 Elite player I've found no other Space game has come close to the original so I may take a punt.
 
just decided to join the fun although far too many things to play, will be using a 360 controller to start with, but looking at HOTAS as i'm a backer on star citizen.

Edit to say should i disable crossfire on 2 7950's

Yep disable crossfire or get texture corruptions and hud glitches

We have a system in place to deal with this, but it's been switched off for a while as it was unfairly penalising players who CTD. I imagine it'll be re-enabled when the powers that be decide the game is suitably stable.
 
Its absolute mayhem in Premium Beta this weekend - with a total progress wipe on Tuesday everyone is just going medieval at Aluin Enterprise. Much fun to be had. :)
 
Installed last night, was expecting a bigger install but it was done in circa 10 minutes. Game certainly doesn't take any prisoners, died countless times on about the third maybe fourth mission.

Also enabled the 3d mode which looked stunning, cannot begin to imagine what oculus rift is going to bring to this.

Now of to find the user manual and some how to not die guides :D

Finally caved and got the beta, the missions are so hard, hope the full game is a little more forgiving. Might plum for expansion pass as I want plant landing like frontier
