Unsure whether to leave it at the menu screen with the assumption it attempts to connect to a server at set intervals (or not). Ahh leave it for a 15 mins or so and see.

Server was definitely up, I was in and playing for around 10mins, though I just got booted off. Guess it's overloaded right now.

Gonna leave it till tomorrow I think.

Yeah, supercruise was glitching and locking up. But on the flipside, I managed my first successful landing/docking/purchasing commodities!
Roll on my next weekend off. Although I'll not see MrsSeaBiscuit, but I think she's resigned to being an Elite widow. She'll just have to get on Skyrim again.

Supercruise is working :-)

Managed to dock without crashing several times now, accepted a few jobs and made a bit of cash. Also, whilst docking someone tried to gain access without authorisation. It didn't end well lol

Ok got good solid hour in. My impression so far.... everything is great - except supercruise. Hate it, really kills immersion dropping in and out of instances. worried i'm not ever going to get over it

I know from talking to RJKOneil that demand is high, and limeted quantities available at a time. It's totally your choice, but I'd consider placing a pre-order so you are in the queue for when they do become available, and even then it's possible it may not be in the first delivery just due to numbers of pre-orders. I'm not wanting to try a hard sell or to pressure anyone, just saying the situation at the moment.

seems to be the problem everywhere, friends in Switzerland got the same problem.

I played for a couple of hours last night and I disagree - they just need to make the transition seem smoother which I think will come with time.

Got jumped by AI pirates a couple of times whilst in supercruise, they were pretty tough to fight with the starter ship (and my lack of dogfight skills!), so had to run away.

Made a trade purchase error as well

need to learn what the best stuff to buy/sell across systems.

Overall I enjoyed it, didn't really have any problems with docking which was nice, just need to fine tune my voice attack.

X52 and X52 Pro have always been made in limited quantities, been a problem for years tbh.

I know, I did have a pre-order with ocuk, but as it is nearly 2 weeks overdue I have cancelled and ordered from Saitek a couple of days ago, they have stock ATM, but it takes 5 or so days from the order being placed...
