£29k pledged today so far with a few mins still to go :)

Kicktraq's projections also have this hitting between the target and £1.5m, and the trend has been increasing steadily too (currently 98%).
 
Been getting a lot of KS emails from them to give them credit they realised last month there was a real danger of not getting the funding (I had my doubts) so have been pushing hard.

Might have a look over the next couple of days at the new tiers to see if it is worth changing my pledge
 
I'm crapping myself that this may not get funded, I have backed this a lot and want to see this game made, Elite Frontier defined a lot of my gaming and still does...

Get funding this guys :D

Just backed for access to the 2nd beta :)

Yup it won't miss the target, hope they haven't set the bar too low though.
 
I'm quietly confident that it will make it, but strangely nervous. I'm sat here constantly watching and ready to double up on my pledge if needed, In fact I'm half tempted to do it anyway just to get into the Alpha

There are very few games I get so nostalgic over, but the original Elite brings back so many good memories for me that this game just has to be made, I lost an entire summer to Elite as an 11 year old boy and played it so much that my dad turned the electricity off in the house just to make me go outside for a bit :o When I was sent to boarding school I took my Elite manual and The Dark Wheel with me, and it probably sounds tragically geeky, but they got me through the horrors at my school that first year, I lost myself in the Elite universe at a time when my real life sucked.

Anyway, I'm sure that there is no way any modern Elite game can live up to the level of hype people like myself will put upon it, but regardless, for me the memories alone are worth the risk in backing this.

I'm new to the whole crowdfunding thing, but what would happen in this circumstance?

I understand that if the project doesn't achieve its target it gets nothing, but what if it does meet its funding target, but when they come to take the money enough pledges bounce so that the total available money is lower than the target?

its not looking tight, there's always a big lift at the end.
Even at current trend they're well over. Also bounces make no difference, they can't as all the monies come out of people's accounts anyway.
