I'm an Elite baby, started on the Acorn Electron and turn 33 tomorrow :D

I'll be impressed if anyone here pledged and is under 30. This thread is destined for us old codgers to talk about the good old days.

Paying £150 is not just starting positions, You also get extra missions as a member of the ELITE as well as other things that i cant actually remember now.

Same here. This was one of my favourite ever games and the one I spent most time on until my later Quake addiction. So many happy memories.
 
I'm 37 and so remember this from my cousin's BBC. I subsequently owned Elite on the ZX Spectrum and wasted oh so much of my life on it.
Initially pledged £20 and upped that to £42 a couple of days ago. Now just the wait for it to appear :)

You would be better off with the 85 quid one as you get all the updates/expansions.
 
I am 35 Only got the £40 pledge and that was a christmas present, but i am happy with that, just the chance to play Elite again affter all these years it will be epic.

Played Frontier Elite II on the St and Amiga 1200, still got my 1200 upstairs in the spare room that still works fime but my copy of Frontier gave up the ghost along time ago think it was from over use :D lol
 
Oh screw it. I had no plan to pledge, but after seeing it become successful, and reading what the game will become, I think I'll pledge £100. My second ever pledge, Limit Theory being the first.
