We have a full wing of Vultures and are down near lave, just join us on Pagan TS and friend up, can now make serious money in the combat zones.

There's a few, you don't have to join ours to use our TS though and the guys are screaming for more people in wings. Doesn't help that they've all gone to bed now though :)

www.pagan-sc.com the TS server info is on the top left.

Might just do that actually. Recently got elite, and have a vulture now. Just working on upgrading it a bit at the moment.

I actually screwed myself last night by wanting to try out an ASP, sold vulture and put all money in ASP. Went to do some bounty hunting which went well, however I messed up on the way back. Being used to a vulture I forgot I was in an ASP and did my usual entering at high speed into the station and could not control the ASP... BANG! Missed the door and exploded :(

I could not believe it. Had lost over 1m in bounties, worst yet did not have enough money left for insurance. Lost out on at least another 1m of stuff as not enough insurance money...

In the end did some exploring in ASP, went out 1000ly got bored as it seems like a waste of time to me. Went back and sold the ASP and got back my vulture and I am worse of than before I sold it. Lol

Well, at least I know now exploring is not for me. :o:p:D

Pvp in a wing is awesome fun. A friend and I decided to kill a vulture for lulz (we were both in clippers), and he fought back! I have to say he fought valiantly to the end and out maneuvered my wing mate to his unfortunately expensive end(always carry a shield cell bank kids) , but he was no match for the power and grace of the mighty clipper in my hands :)

So I have this cobra mk3 now what would be a easy way to use it to make credits I would like to test how I do in combat now vs a NPC sidewinder or somit but nothing bigger yet till I'm more confident in using this thing. If I take bounty missions from bb I don't know what ship I will be facing also not sure how to get him as no interdictor device to take him out of sc plus no idea how to do that even if I had one lol. I have a kill scanner but dunno how to use it. So basically I need help knowing how to use the ship the best but easiest way and some help with how to get my feet wet in easy combat as wana see if I can do better than I did with the basic sidewinder I had as this is my first new ship since sidy.

Trading still makes most profit in large ship with a Cobra would go find a combat zine.

A cobra is capable of taking down an Anaconda decent thrusters and keep behind em with one eye on radar at all times.

The big bounty missions in the bulletin board will always be anacondas, so I would give them a miss. Your best bet is to find a system that has a resource extraction point (look for planets with rings that are metal rich in the galaxy map). There will be a constant stream of wanted ships (small and big) to kill for lots of bounties, and the police will be there to help so it will be really easy. Good way to make cash quickly and is less boring than rare runs. Rare runs do provide a lot of cash though if you jam as much cargo space in there as you can.

The scanner works by equipping it in a fire group. You then hold down the fire button until it finishes scanning. When it does you can check the contacts panel and see what bounties they have in other systems. Remember that killing a player who is clean in that system still counts as a crime even if they have bounties elsewhere (the exception being in anarchy systems when you can kill anyone and everyone is clean). Scanning a ship is a good way to make sure you get all of their bounty, not just their local ones

Folks, Ive just got back into this yesterday. Got a Cobra and hanging around nav points at the moment and collecting bounties.

Is there a better and quicker way? Someone mentioned about Gas giants? (what class star are gas giants exactly?)

Also something about a resource extractor?

And sorry just one more question! What are these conflict zones people refer to and where do I find them?

Are their many PvP wars and guilds? Are any making a name for themselves? I've got the game, I've just not really had much chance to play it or get the lay of the land.

Go to the warzones in a wing making million an hour easy now.

New Steam players Struggling with the negative reviews after so liitle play.

Be good if any Community players that have been playing for months have a steam account pop in and chuck in the odd post to help them out. Granted some are just stupid like 0.8 hrs play “ I cant pilot the ship, this game is rubbish”

The learning curve is hard and that’s all part of Elites charm to me. I’m old school having played the original so I’d just enjoy the sights never mind anything else.

Gas giants are just big planets. What you want are planets with rings. In the system map it will tell you in the info panel if the rings are metal rich. If they are, fly on over and drop into a resource extraction site. After a while wanted pirates will start showing up in a steady stream to kill. Good way to make money fast, but don't crash into the asteroids!

Conflict zones can be found in systems in civil war. You choose a side via the functions tab in your right panel and then start kicking ass. More high octane than extraction sites, but slightly less profitable
