I really enjoyed the excitement and discussion over the last few days and feel that with a real investment in the game I will put more into it and get more out. I would definitely invest in something similar again.

What does this mean to say a Company like Overclockers!!!

Well I decided that having a Nov 2004 PC was getting boring with Elite, The New Sim City and ARMA III and that new C&C game all about to come out over the next year or so. So a New Rig will be purchased later this year from here not because the Hardware is impressive but because due to actually some good PC games and not Console clones I’m for the first time wanting a new PC.

Current PC has done me well the sticker on the back dated when I picked it up from a local shop (Nov 2004) It was bought for BF2! This one will be bought for Elite as well as the ones above! Pity BF3 looks like such a Dog Console shooter!!!!

Seriously played the original on the BBC model B and it blew my mind! So glad this will now be made and got my founders logo to show for the backing!!!!
 
So with the game funded... what similar things can I play in the mean time? Nothing so old school that the dated graphics would put me off though. X3 sounds good... but seems like you have to put an insane amount of time into it.
 
Not played an Elite game before, but it the prospect of it seemed great hence my backing :)

I've seen Pioneer, will give it a download. Will look into the other one too, cheers.

X3 is well worth the effort you give it. It isn't Elite, has a massive learning cliff, but is a fantastic game. Really give it a go, it is hard but worth it, so much.

It still isn't Elite 2 IMHO.
