Quite like the look of the X52 Pro.
Are the Saitek ones quite heavy or do they have suckers on the bottom?
Just wondering as I use a deskmat which obviously won't work with suckers.

Come to this rather later sadly. Is shelling out £200 now the only way to be able to access this? I have seen various other prices mentioned but just can't justify that :/
Are there any dates from when it might go from Alpha to Beta?
Well as much as I'd like to have a dabble I'm not dropping £200![]()
You can add the remaining amount to what you have already paid. I pm'ed them and i just added another 50 quid. Im not gonna bother with SC so thats why i went for it, i was also an original backer on KS of SC but asked for a refund of £225 because all there doing is churning out ships and tbh there is going to be some heavy unbalancing going on, the game wont be fully playable and balanced for maybe 3 years from now and even when it is there will be other stuff to play. I think ED will wipe the floor with it anyhow once all the features are implemented.
Pay to win? In what way?
You can get any of the ships in-game, just as you can get ED ships in game, the only difference is what you start with, which in many cases will be a large ship and bugger all money to buy anything by the way some people have pledged.
I really, honestly don't understand the SC or ED bashing, both communities do it. It's childish and in many cases simply ill-informed twaddle (an excellent word btw).

What advantage? You keep saying it like it's fact but I've been a backer on both games since early days and honestly can't see any.
If you buy SC retail the only things you won't be able to get are:
1. Life time insurance - which frankly is likely to be worthless and has been permanently withdrawn for everyone from now on. So it's only on certain ships and only covers the hull - not any upgrades added later. The value of this is extremely debatable but it offers no performance/combat advantage and you can't simply spam a new ship out.
2. A golden ticket which right now is allegedly going to be something cosmetic anyway and only covers the first 10,000 people who registered interest in the game (i.e. registered on a website - no cash involved).
So where's this advantage you speak of?
They're releasing more ships as it brings in funds, news flash - it's a business. Do you think E : D charging £200+ to take part in an alpha is OK but charging for an in-game item for a game that's about to hit alpha isn't? I really don't see what the problem is. This is adults spending their cash to back game development which others can then benefit from and which keeps it out of the hands of publishers.
I don't want to derail the E : D thread, I'm a backer of it and actually more excited about it than SC at the moment.
