*** The Official Elite: Dangerous Thread ***

Yeah, I play via the official launcher not Steam, but I have also linked my account to Steam and in my game list it just shows up as Elite: Dangerous despite having the Horizons season pass. It does show up under the DLC tab mind, just not in the game list.

Frontier support came back and credited me the 17mil that was lost due to the split second destruction of my Conda a week ago. Epic tbh

Also bought myself a wee Clipper while I grind the Cutter ranks. She is a beaut

This was after I finally got back to the bubble after 22k light years to Jaques and back. Worth the 90 mil. And also around 10 mil for system carts and a rank to Pathfinder. Not bad.

Back to the grind but I truly love this game ;)
 
Did anyone take part in the 5th November Guy Fawkes event yesterday at 16:05?

I rushed to get to NOVAS A6 for the time and found there was an unregistered communications satellite in orbit where several other Commanders had also dropped out of cruise.

I moved right up to the satellite which was playing white noise and then suddenly the white noise stopped and it began broadcasting a sequence of numbers. I grabbed my notepad and pencil which was luckily on my desk and started to write them down.... minutes passed and I was still writing and was pretty sure the sequence hadn't repeated. I gave up as I was hungry at that point, came back 20 minutes later to discover I'd got the sequence right and somebody had already decoded the sequence as a message about the new hidden Community Goal to collect Toxandji Virocide and deliver it to Wright City in Elli.

I mean... how did you hear about this? Its not very clear how to do these types of missions which are more "secretive" (for a want of a better word".
 
Almost at the Eta Carina nebula after spending two weeks flying an Imperial Clipper along three sides of square which has taken me to the Outer Vacuus, along the Perseus Arm and 'north' to Eta Carina. I haven't seen another CMDR tag on a planet or star for 5 days!

Frame Shift Drive charging madness is setting in. :eek:

The event was on the news feed in game also.
And asked on the previous page, whom was going to the bonfire night event at the designated system. However received no reply.

Unfortunately I didn't, because decided to go to the cinema.
 
Cant get on with any other HUD colour apart from Stock myself.

As for the game.... After 5 ships of engineer upgrades to FSD abd the odd mod here and there a fully engineered Corvette the Elite boredom is setting in again.
