No storyline? What about the Thargoids and the Formidine Rift mystery?

If you don't buy the Horizons expansion then you won't be able to explore planets and take part in the current storyline to a huge extent. I love landing on a planet and driving around in my SRV. You never know what you might find...
 
Elite Dangerous

Can someone give me some pointers on this.

Been playing a day, still with standard stuff and all. Best way to earn money? When should i buy a new ship?

I'd rather just save for one nice ship and keep that for ages. :confused::confused:

Get over to Draconis for mission skimming killing and big money.

Or get to a COBRA quickly then focus on how you wish to proceed, either via Trading/Missions/Res Hunting.

Yeap definitely the way forward in the beginning until you get a type 7 however with engineers which i have not played dont know if its worth carrying on with rare commodities once getting a type 7. Ive not played since jan 2016 however i have everything except a cutter and 1 billion credits. I wonder if they will make and release a Moray Starboat.

Oh! I thought PP was all about signing up... Doing nothing for three weeks... Doing an hour of interdicting and destruction in the nearest system you can... Waiting a few days... Buying a weapon... Done?

Wait a few days, and it'll probably drop back into civil war.

Why earn money any other way when you can get 200mCR an hour that way?

That was the original idea haha. But seems like fun. Good group of CMDRs using Slack and TS. I kinda bored with grinding ranks... let's grind something else

Plus I want the Prismatic Shields also hehe

Well I'm not even playing at the moment, but I've signed up for the new PP character (whatever his name is) and in three weeks I'll play for an hour or so, just to unlock the missile he offers, then leave.

PP was a huge wasted opportunity. And IMHO, it was the first of a series of them, which have also proven to be a rule rather than an exception :(

Have to agree PP was wasted and so was that stupid Arena deathmatch thing, ive never played it not even once. Waste of time and resources. From what im hearing game has moved on in 1 year but not enough for me to start playing again. Im sure there will be a day when it will be but not just yet.

The only reason I was playing recently was to Engineer up my ships, which after doing 2-3 of them, got tiresome.

Ship launched fighters seem fairly pointless/limited and passenger missions in truth seem like "warm cargo", so 2.2 is fairly myeh for me unfortunately.


My hope is the visuals of Planet Coaster show what will be coming to ED when we get atmospheric landings...
