Ermmmmm...

I've found some Chromium at 7:30 in the clip below. First time ever found any (I don't mine *shudder*) but with this I imagine logging in & out would make it an easy(ish?) chance of getting loads.
Also, wtf are these!?

(only just started the upload, will take a while)

It is much better than "make do". There is a steep learning curve (although playing the original 1985 version of elite does help!). But you should be prepared to enjoy just 'being' in the universe, exploring, combat, mining, landing on planets, trading. All are fun, all become grindy if you do it for the money.

Enjoy the journey and the game is great....

Meh, do I really want to be driving around in an SRV for chromium, is there more of a chance of finding it on planet rather than in rings?!

having had a mooch around I would say that it is easier than ever before to earn money without using exploits.

as an explorer the payouts for data has increase significantly (5m+ CR per system!) and you can do this in a Diamondback.

the passenger missions have been tweaked and you really only need a Dolphin to get properly going and earn good credits.

the community goals for bounty hunting you can do 50M CR in a morning.

Is that in a Diamondback Explorer? Sorry, obvious question but a lot of people seem to have a downer on it as an exploration ship. I'm building up to an Asp, but was thinking of going back to Cobra Mk3 for exploration as a stop gap (I'm currently in a Viper Mk4)

Yes, the Diamondback. It was buffed in 2.3 to give it an extra internal slot so it is now a very good ship indeed.

The ASP Explorer is probably the best all-round ship in the game but it still costs an awful lot of money early game to fit out and the re-buys are also expensive when it is A-Rated.

The Diamondback is a great, early route into making cash quick by being able to move around the bubble (and outside of it) very quickly whilst also being able to conduct all sorts of missions.

Just did a sightseeing mission, got to the destination scanned the beacon got a message mission complete went back to drop off passengers but it won't show claim reward in the passenger lounge? Any ideas?

Anyone part of an awesome player group?

Myself and several others here are part of the Möbius pve group although not sure you'd call it a group, I was also in the Elite Alliance Diplomatic Corps although I'm not active in it anymore. They were pretty organised about promoting Alliance influence in the ED universe and a good group. I'm not sure of any Empire or Fed equivalents.

Make sure you have space for any cargo awards that go with the mission. If you do not have the space, the mission can't be closed and won't appear in the mission board. Also check the transaction UI as it will tell you the issue with the mission.
