Unfortunately this has been happening for such a long time in this thread. And I don't mean to single anyone out, there are a few that do it.
 
I normally archive both those folders, just in case.
Win>%appdata% to get near them.

C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments
C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments

Then copy paste

xcopy "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings\*.*" %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\

and to restore

xcopy /Y %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\Custom.binds "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings\"

xcopy /Y %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\StartPreset.start "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings\"


(Just copy and paste requires no changes)

I'm stunned with this latest patch!

First time never had to delete .part nor .progress files :p

But now it's DLed & I'm busy playing in GIMP, D'Oh! haha
 
Typical patch day, multiple failed attempts to log in, got in tested the new route calculator (Yaaay!!) made first jump, got stuck in hyperspace then "Failed to connect to adjudication server" disconnect, failed multiple attempts to log in, eventually got in again, managed 2 jumps this time before disconnect in hyperspace again, walked away holding breath and counting to 10, gave up.................................................................. :(
 
Had several disconnects too, given up for now.
Luckily, one was when I clicked accept for a quest that was 600k data delivery, before I realised it was 22kly. Screw that! lol
Honking in space is delayed sound, bugging out.
Mission board is excruciatingly slow.
