So many people underestimate the Arbitrator because it doesn't kill instantly. It's a good ship that is capable of incapacitating your enemy and slowly killing them.

Your setup is what I'm currently using, except with to Tracking Disrupts rather than the ECM. 400mm plate, 800mm wont fit. I just dont bother going after Caldari anymore. Considering swapping the 2 Small *** for 2 Small Energy Neuts. Two Med Vamps and 2 Small Neuts cycling should kill someones cap very fast.

Its decent enough really, but its so dull. I'd rather see repeating autocannon or pulse laser fire than glowing N.O.S animations. The drones really chew things up its decent enough.

I might consider flying it in a gang in future, but for solo.....I wouldnt really reccommend it. It just cant take sustained fire.

Thats how i started out with ribbo, he's a jack of all trades really and i wish i'd done a pure caldari/gallante pvp char with him :(
I dont see the problem with branching out, skill training is only a matter of time. While I'll be "behind" someone who went all out Amarr from the beginning of the game, I'm having fun, and couldnt really care less how skilled I, or someone else is. Its only a game, I play for fun, not SP totals.

i dont play it for sp totals either, but i know that while i've trained ribbo to do all sorts of things in the same time, the minnie char i've got has trained pure minmatar and is a much much much better pvp char than ribbo currently is

if you branch out your always chasing the skillbooks and the ability to do new things, where as if your specialized you just need to max and excel one maybe 2 races skills (2 for faction stuff etc) yeh you dont get to fly that many ships but the ones you do fly your almost maxed skills for.

Ever want to see what a fleet battle looks like?

See VOID alliance (Ex Forsaken Empire) get spanked in this vid :)

http://dl.eve-files.com/media/corp/Initiative/Spanking.wmv

Myself and some of my corp mates met up with the friendly fleet but we decided to go and hunt elsewhere :)

At least FS came up to fight this time, i was wondering if it was ever going to happen :)

Crap fleet setup.
yeah, you want your frigs tackling, or maybe a BC/CR but not your BS, you want the BS setup for SPANKING.
what a waste of midslots
only reason he didn't get spanked himself was that no-one targeted him till the end!

The lows were rubbish too and I can't remember because I've deleted the video but is it a domi?

Can't remember if there were 6 or 7 turrets.

It's a shame they didn't lose, their target calling also seemed to have no real structure.

Well thats the last time I post any vids here, its not my corp/alliance whatever.

@Skully - hows it a crap fleet setup? I cant make out what any of the other ships are, nevermind setups are...

As for the comments on slot layouts, whats crap in some situations is excellent in others - thats what Eve is all about.

The joys of forums...

5 large rails or blasters by the looks of things using plutonium ammo, web and scram in mids with 3 ECM or somthing
running armor tank while in shild and not being shot at then runny VERY low on cap by the time he was attacked.
nice move.

Fleet.

High - Guns

Mid - EW/Tracking Computers

Lows - Damage Mods/Plate

I think it may have been a Dominix, as the drone menu seemed to be pretty well stocked. Domi's are rubbish in fleet, use a Megathron instead because of the damage.

Drones in a fleet shouldn't really happen, creates lag and is useless. By the time the drones reach the target it should be dead.

You don't need a tank, you go for all out damage. A plate will do with a small repairer. If you get called primary, you're going down - tank or not.

tbh, the new drones may be good in fleet, sentry etc or maybe the EW/logisitics ones for a bit of tank, but the lag issue is a pain.

arn't Vampire doms supposed to be uber in fleets?

The way it's going at the moment is ranged.

With T2 guns and ammo you can out range your opponent completely, yet still do enough damage to kill them. This means that you'll often be engaging players at 150KM plus.

We saw it in EC- for the op, about 10 G BS would come and snipe our ships and not a large amount of people could even lock at 200KM.

This means the Domi isn't very useful at all, being close is very dangerous for fleets, an Interdictor has no trouble deploying at close range, which means most of the fleet would die, both Attackers and Defenders.

Drones aren't that good, if anyone has a drone out in fleet except Dreads/Carriers in ASCN/AXE you get a shouting at. Drones also have the limited range problem.

Again not wanting to get involved in an 'I Win - you should have had my setup' argument.

I can barely make out the guns but I think he was using 350mm Large Rails, with plutonium that would have given him an optimal of about 50-60KM, this then goes inline with the ecm's optimal (I know they dont have a minimum range either).

I think he may have had the ecm setup for his domi, whilst damage dealing so he doesn't get called primary (like a scorp would be).

thing is if you're expecting the fleet to come in from the gate (like those did, jumping INTO the system) I'd of had some intercators up there with bubbles going ready for them and sniper setup BS way out, maybe with a few ceptors/etc doing the EW stuff up close

suppose its all down to what you can setup at the time.
