yes, but think about it, if I want a good chance of jamming BOTH ships, that meens fitting 2 jammers of each type, also I'll need a Sensor booster so that I can lock them fast enough to get in first
and a warp scram (or whatever the 20km range one is)
fast running out of mid slots here.
 
You couldnt kill a Vaga in a Ferox, the only way would be if you has persicion, mean T2 tank and he didnt fit it out properly, no WCS etc

Im not going to argue on the WCS debate, but as you point out if a Vaga fits 2WCS+ then it should never lose in a 1v1 with a battlecruiser. Fitting +4 on a ferox would weaken it far too much.

Without WCS however a ferox could beat a vaga, particularly with the capacity for EW a choice of passive tank and precision heavies.

Solution...nerf the vaga :p ..../me trains vaga

exactly, I was setup for the blackbird, nearly had him gone, then his vaga m8 logged into system (they knew what station I was at before hand) and appaered, I took one look at the T2 projectiles and buggered off,
pointless me staying to fight when I've no chance of winning.

its like using SBs in empire belts, just ASKING for someone to get hurt

but that still leaves me with the issue of being locked down by the blackbird.

if there was another guy here with a ferox i would be tempted to try it out, but alas no
I did have my 2nd account but running 2 accounts for PVP is asking for it tbh,
could have used my mega in a sniper setup maybe

I'll be starting my free 14 day trial in about 10 mins. I'm reading through the new player guide, but no way am I reading through 114 forum pages. :p

I played Eve around this time last year as well and found it to be a very lonely game, nobody talked on the OcUK Corp chat and I rarely saw a lot of people flying about.

But now i'm gonna try and it and try to get out into the proper part of space, I think I was in the quiet parts.
 
Slightly OT question here, but does anyone know how to query TQ for its status? I've seen it done on various websites (EVE-I and EveNews included).

I'm intending to write a small program that sits in the tray and lets you keep track of the server's status.
 
Wish I had time to get into Eve. I was in the beta for it but sadly that was during the period of my life when I banned myself from MMORPGs due to them taking over whenever I try them ;p

It does seem to be one of the better ones, though... (compares to Asheron's Call quite well anyhow...)

the 1st item seems to be only one around,
the cap booster there are 3 of in game that I know of, ones not for sale and the other (apart from mine) just sold for 500million isk on the foums.

any offers?

Their normal player built tech2 items, which means theres someone with a BPO out there so I highly doubt theres only 3 in game.

The heavy cap booster looks nice :D not worth 500mil though.

nope, they are droped from CCP employees in ships (event runners)
 
Does anyone else have problems with Eve crashing a lot. Sometimes when i jump the new area of space loads but my neocom buttons vanish, my ship doesnt load and neither does anything else. Chat still works and it still says "Jumping" but just sits there until i restart the game.

Also sometimes when i load in and out of stations sometimes i just get a black screen. Again the game isnt completely frozen as i can press ESC and get the menu up.

I think im not the only person to have problems with this so are there any fixes at all?

On a side note yesterday was a bad day in eve for me :) lost 3 ruptures, 1 to a pirate in 0.4 (stupidly didnt warp as soon as i saw him get close), 1 in a lvl 2 mission as the rat i was draining went out of range while i had about 10 attacking me and my cap and armor tank dropped to quickly to do anything about it and 3rd one was lost saving a mate from another pirate while he was mining.

So now im back to my Rifter until i can build up some cash to rebuild :) Was still all good fun though, but a pretty big lose considering i have only been playing 12days :)
