The forums are down atm so i cant link.

Everynoes been complaining for the past 12 hours that they cant get the RMR patch cause CCP havent released it yet. So the dude i was on about, made a thread entitles "ATTENTION - RMR PATCH AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD"

Inside the thread was just two letters "j/k :D"

It had 200 views in the first 60 seconds and everyone wanting his head :)

I wouldnt expect it to be up until the wee hours. Seriously, don't stay up. It could be another 6-12 hours yet.

They are keeping the forums down. Can you imagine the amount of "omg what am i paying for, I want to paly now" threads. There are about a million of these every time they have a big patch.
 
Just imagine the amount of players trying to download the patch at the same time. So best to find a good time between Us & Euro time zones.

And empire will get busy for a few days, all the new skills and toys.

Tell me about it, the amount of outright whinging you see on the Eve forums beggars belief, then again I also find all the 'OMG don't whine cus it's not leet' posts that you get in response just as irritating. I'm no-longer entirely sure weather this is due to the content of the posts or just their shear predictability.

I'm not staying up, it'll be a flippin nightmare trying to download the patch anyway. I remember the Exodus launch all to clearly, I'm not going through that again. I'll wait for an alliance/corp member to host the patch tomorrow, no doubt that'll be quicker and easier.

No your useless, its just been balanced to not be so... overpowered in respect to other cruisers
 
Drones have been improved though remember, so they will do the same net damage.

Glad there aren't uber download issues like last time.

Don't be silly. The thorax can now mount a serious gank with 5 medium blasters and a couple of damage mods with it's powergrid boost.

RMR has been delayed further, new target time for server up is now 2am

But im going to bed, will patch and try TQ in the morning, if its up. plus i dodge the first few mangled hours that can be remotely called, play time :D

Quite some time back before the drone changes were ever announced the devs said that the Thorax was going to get it's drone bay halved in the next major patch, however, since all ships have had their bays halved the Thorax was further halved from what is was originally intended to have come this patch, thus it's now 1/4th of the size.

The Thorax's has for a long time reigned supreme amongst cruisers, mainly in Blasterrax 1600mm plated setup. It was far and away the most powerful cruiser in the right hands with good skills, now it has been bought inline with the others. Really it's not so bad, ok so it'll take some getting used to but it's for the good of Eve that it should not be so much more powerful than the other tier 3 cruisers.

Besides, considering the drone changes it's new 50m3 drone bay is in effect 1/2 the size of the old one not 1/4th when you think about it.
