Erick Silva was just robbed :(

I would like to see refs enforce the strikes to the back of the head rule more than they do, not sure this was a good fight to showcase it though.

Regardless I thought that Rogan was out of line putting Mario Yamasaki on the spot the way he did, without the benefit of a slow motion replay I also thought Prater took a lot more illegal blows than he actually did.

Paul Harris up next, should be entertaining.

That was fast.

Massenzio should have tapped as soon as Paul Harris had his leg, by the time the pain hits the damage has been done.

I understand Mario Yamasaki had to make the decision in the moment without the benefit of multiple angles and slow motion, but what was interesting whihc Dana White put on his twitter was

every stoppage should be reviewed on tape before the winner is announced. Just like the NFL with touchdowns.

That would make a lot more sense.

Also, why was the fight stopped immediately? Normally for strikes to the back of the head there is a warning, a point taken then you ask the receiver if he can continue etc?

What a crazy event! For a lot of reasons!!

Looks like Aldo may be the guy to beat Edgar. There have been rumours that Frankie may drop down, and now there are rumours that Jose may move up...
Whatever happens that's not a good matchup for Edgar.
Still, Frankie's always the underdog and always performs with enormous heart... It'll be exciting either way :)
Never seen a fighter run into the crowd like that before?!

Good to see the back of AJ. Unprofessional and hugely disrespectful to Vitor and to the UFC.
Great victory for The Phenom, good fight.
The division is stacked anyway, he won't be missed. BAMMA anyone?!

Palhares was godlike with that submission. So few fighters can leap in a submission like that simply at will. There was practically no set up, he just saw what he wanted and did it! Very impressive.
(What's with calling him Paul Harris?! Is it something I've missed from earlier in the thread??)

Silva was robbed. Fact. Poor reffing indeed.
Definitely a need for replays. I appreciate the ref has a tough job and it's easy to criticise with the benefit if hindsight and the various replays and angles we get on the TV coverage, so I won't bang on, but I have to feel for Silva.

As for Etim, wow. Barboza's knockout was outstanding, but he'd won the fight anyway.
I gave Etim round 1, but Edson the second and third.
I don't know if Etim was lacking or Edson was just too much for him, but I kept really hoping he'd do more. I'm not saying he was poor, far from it, but I just wanted..... More.
I think Barboza's scramble and overall takedown defense left Terry struggling to know what to do. I think it ruined his gameplan....

Great event and plenty to talk about, loved it :D

Awesome night of fights,

as already said that is prob the KO of the year from Barboza, one of those WOW! moments.

Silva robbed, bad call from the ref, i read somewhere that they will appeal to get it changed to a win.

So glad vitor got the win after johnson trying to cut to much weight, again.. and hes got what he deserved with being cut, maybe now he will learn his lesson.
they were some fast stand ups doh :p that worked in Vitors favour i believe.

and the only thing i didnt like about the main event was it was only one round, love watching Aldo, dont know who he will get next doh.

I think Edson was just too much for Etim. Barbosa is one to watch, I'd like to see him take on a good wrestler next and if he comes out on top then he's got to be en route for a title shot. Dude can kick, ask Lullo ^^
