He is an arrogant idiot, who thinks he is way better than he will ever be ?

This, have you been hiding under a massive rock jrwagh? :D

He has a half decent win against Nog who had a staff infection and looked like he was fed 10 sleeping pills before he went in the octagon. His only other notable win was against Brock, surrounded in a little controversy and also against a guy that was 1-0 in his second ever MMA fight.

This coupled with the fact he thinks he can pretty much tool anybody, is why most people think he is an arrogant idiot.

Just listened to this on another site, maybe you've already seen it or it's been posted already but I thought it was worth a listen to.

It's Forrest talking about his next fight and what happend with Anderson Silva.

lol gotta love Forest Griffin for that....he who can look back and make jokes about his most humiliating defeat.
weirdly whenever i see him he reminds me of Forest Gump :p
to be fair to him though he fought a very in form Anderson Silva and i hope for his sake he doesn't fight jon bones jones.....that guy is destroying his opposition.

Bobbly Lashley seems like a really nice guy :3

Strike Force tomorrow night. (more like Strike Farce am I rite LOL)

Nothing wrong with Lashley to be honest, sure he's not the best and they have avoided putting him in with anyone likely to beat him but he's far from the worst.

Not sure what to make of that Strike Face comment. StrikeForce is putting on some good shows lately and their Heavyweight division certainly matches up well with the UFC heavyweights. Just a shame they don't have shows like in K-1 where they had a Dream v SRC tournament.

UFC: Brock, Cain, JDS, Carwin
Strikeforce: Overeerm, Fedor, Werdum, Barnett

Hmm, Overeem is the only one on that list that I could see doing well in the UFC these days. Fedor isnt the Fedor from years ago, he is still the greatest heavyweight the sport has ever seen, but in his last 3 fights he last looked decidedly mortal, being on the backfoot against Rogers and Arlovski, and then the sub to Werdum.

Werdum couldnt make it in the UFC and was cut, his win against Fedor more because Fedor jumped into his guard than anything else, and as for Barnett, he has far too dubious a history when it comes to steroids. He is a great fighter on his night, but we'll never get to see just how good.

When did Strikeforce sign Barnett?

Fedor is done with, Werdum got booted from the UFC and has only beaten Fedor, who is done with. Overeem is the only legit heavyweight in Strikeforce.

Werdum was never cut. HE turned down a new contract which the UFC offered him after his loss to JDS since it was for less money than he was already getting. Pushed out maybe but definitely not cut.

HAHAHAHAHA STRIKE FARCE!

Knockout after bell, knock out but ref doesnt stop it, ref stops it, illigal knee thrown after knock out, Jesus Christ.

Erm you do realise the refs are NOT employed by Strikeforce right? The refs and judges control what is going on in the bought and they have absolutely nothing to do with Strikeforce. They are employed and working for the athletic commission in whatever state they are fighting in. So I really don't see how you can criticise Strikeforce for the things above when it's beyond their control.

It's obvious you hate Strikeforce for some reason but at least acknowledge they have nothing to do with the refs or else it just makes your argument look stupid.

I am well aware that the ref is not strike forces problem, how ever, Gus "I TRAIN YOU WANT TO THROW DOWN WITH ME?!" Johnson didn't even mention it in the post fight interview, it was pathetic.

Then again, your someone who tried comparing UFC's heavyweights with Strikefarces, and then mentioned 1 top tier fighter, an old Pride (never die) legend who is no longer relevant, a dude who's only claim is that he beat said non relevant Pride legend and someone who isn't even signed to the promotion... If you want me to outline my problem with Strikeforce I will quite happily.

I apologise for listing Barnett as having signed for them when in fact he is just in negotiations with them. To say Fedor isn't relevant any more is ridiculous. All it takes is a few wins in MMA and you are more or less near the top because of the shallow talent pool depth.

Sure outline your problem with Strikeforce. I'd like to see as many major competitors to the UFC as possible and like it or not, Strikeforce is the only major competitor for the UFC in the US and one of the few in the World.

K-1 and Dream are going down the pan with the financial difficulties FEG have even with the loan from the Chinese which isn't given in one big lump anyway so doesn't help them much. They haven't even paid some of the fighters from Dream in the past 6 months or so. K-1 has cancelled shows and even had some just disappear from their own website with no other information given.

SRC are still going but Dream was always the bigger organisation IMO and with the decline in Japanese MMA it's not going to get any stronger.

Bellator should be ok with the lawsuit filed against them but if not then they are pretty much out of business.

Leaves us with what? A bunch of smaller promotions with no chance of signing big names? Shark Fights, MFC, KOTC, Impact FC (who still haven't paid some fighters from their first two shows) and the rest.

I do hope K1 doesn't go the way of Pride, as stand up goes they are great to watch. Not so sure about Dream, something about them never seems right.
Could be I just miss Pride a bit!

Completely forgot about the Sengoku event as I was watching Strikeforce, and laughing, hard.

What was the ref doing in the Gurgel bout? The shot landed after the bell was unfortunate, but surely Gurgel could have been given more time to recover instead of just the minute break between rounds? And then where was he with the stoppage, Gurgel ate two horrendus shots, the ref should have stopped it there, well played by Noons who stopped to look at the ref before deciding to strike Gurgel a couple more times... and then to knee him in the face.. which isnt illegal or anything...

I'll never understand Gurgel, he gos out there and puts on a show, but he is a BJJ blackbelt primarily, and he should have resorted to that after it was clear he was losing the striking battle.

Lashley proved he is another big lump with a complete lack of cardio, although I must admit, standing him up from mount to check a cut and then restarting the fight on the feet is utterly retarded. Lashley vs Batista next, that'll get some viewers to tune in, even though it won't be a great fight for the sport.

So glad King Mo got knocked out, I just don't like the guy. I was gutted when he beat Mousasi, but tonight made me feel better. I had a £25 freebet that I was so so close to putting on Feijao too, instead I decided to put it on Villa against Newcastle... bugger.

I'm hoping Diaz v Noons is on the cards soon, both have great boxing, Diaz has a chin of granite and a better ground game, and there is a grudge there. That'll be a great rematch.

Glad to see Mo get KO'd too. Cant stand him. Good fight though - glad Feijao stopped his takedowns (largely), stopped King Mo's usual grope and hope tactics.

Not a bad event for Strikeforce - still hate seeing Gurgel fight knowing how good he is at BJJ.

Gurgel just loves to put on a show, unfortunately for him it normally ends in him losing lol.

That punch wasn't deliberately after the bell, it's damn near bang on the bell. Was a devastating punch too!

The knee was illegal no matter how you look at it, whether he was already done or not doesn't matter, it was illegal.

Hope they let Noons fight Diaz again, don't think he would win again.

i liked that fight made me thing., DANG i got to watch all strike force events in the future.

the prob with the rules are no elblows on the ground to the head.

this leads to much grappling where nothing happens because its not easy to get a clean punch in when so close. thats why UFC is better IMO.

No I havent been under a rock. I watch all Mir interviews and fights with a huge smile on my face. Like Mir said. Nog knew he had the injury but still took the fight. Ok then hes dumb. If he didn't feel well enough to compete then he should have not took the fight
