**The Official Everything MMA Related Thread**

Yeah was a great night, I had a feeling boetsch may pull thru that guy is a barbarian and okamis chin is suspect ever since silva punched him twice in the face and he went down and was clueless.

I thought kongo would best hunt, but hunt was close and really stood his ground glad he won.

And rampage injured and all the rogan/franklin and missing weight knew would factor in and it did, baders back in the viewing no doubt.

And henderson did well although I felt it was a close one.... im really shocked to see how during the weigh ins frankie and ben looked similar but then its like ben went up to 170 pounds overnight and it was a mismatch almost !

I can see nate diaz/cerrone and especially pettis and ben dominating the already stacked division.

Its been a massive debate, dana white has openly said he felt frankie won it.

Dan henderson and many other mma fighters tweeted frankie just edged it out, lots of stats showing frankie landing more strikes and some show Ben did...

I think the judges liked the damage shots and frankie looked beaten up and then some, and they really loved the up kick and way bendo went for submissions and landed those hard kicks. Hendo was awesome though with aggression and control and damage.

I felt frankie had won it with more take downs and punches.... frankies come out and said he felt he won it on points and deserves immediate rematch nothing confirmed yet since dana wants pettis vs ben 1st.

Its a hard call to say who won exactly, almost feels like bjpenn vs frankie 1st time, or condit vs diaz almost :)

1-4 UFC record - he's gone i would suspect. Ok 3 of those were fight of the night winners but still.....

I think sexy did say hes gone if he looses but dana white has said hes been impressed with him and hes got many fotn honours....

He just wants to see someone fight a fight like...its the same with hardy and pat barry and few other guys... they could loose 5 in a row but if they come out to fight and bang its different.

I hope he stays he looked better and no cardio issues and jake just had more pitter patter jabs and kicks and took home the win.

I definitely had it scored for Bendo.

Big Tim's comeback, to quote Rogan "Outstanding", pretty unreal.

I think Akiyama is a tossup, 1-4 isnt the most flattering, but he is very entertaining which definitely will put him in Dana's good books.

Ye, I want Akiyama to stay as well. Losses =/= cuts imo

Trying to win, being exciting and having an unusual but still threatening style should be rewarded.

Akiyama might be 1/4 but look at the competition he has fought in that time.

Chris Leben, Michael Bisping, Vitor Belfort and Jake Shields - give him somebody a bit further down the ladder to build him back up.

yeah agreed he was thrown into the wolves and against no1/no2 contenders....

He done quite well considering !

But he needs to fight guys that are not no1/no2 contenders, he can easily pick up some Ws and show off his judo and sexyness at the same time against lower tiers.

Judo in mma is just awesome to watch.

Was Rampage injured before the fight he seems to be carry a lot of extra weight. His slam was awesome

Just watched this event. Edgar v Bendo was awesome. Bendo certainly won even though Frankie landed more. Unfortunatley for Frankie it was like punching a brick wall. You can't doubt that he got absolutely battered.

I need to watch it again cos a lot say frankie was just jabbing and throwing at air and missing a lot...

It did feel like he was landing more strikes and more take downs to win the fight though.

Lorenzo has rewatched the fight and changed his mind and agreed bendo won it clearly.

Edgar has been offered title shot with Jose Aldo....

But it looks like he does not want it, only to get his belt back but there is news that ben maybe out for 6 months if his xrays comes back not so positive, so will see.

I would love to see Pettis vs Edgar... and then winner gets ben or Frankie get another shot.

No one talking about tonights UFC fight ?

Kampmann vs Alves
Joseph Benavidez v Yasuhiro Urushitani
Demetrious Johnson v Ian McCall
Court McGee v Constantinos Philippou

All happening tonight also or Sat morning, lets hope the main fight doesnt start 5am!

Im in 2 minds over kampmann and Alves, both great strikers but good at finishing not so sure, there both technical strikers though but Alves lands the more heavy shots and better leg kicks. Kampmann is better all round and can go for submissions and his counter boxing is good also, should be a close and good fight. Kampmann says he does not want to go to the judges since hes been screwed over so many times before he will push forward and out strike him according to him.

Ohh Im looking forward, Kampmann is gonna have a hell of a test in front of him, Mike Dolce tweeted a few hours ago that Thiago Alves is already back up to 198 pounds !!

Main card picks:
Alves
Benavidez
Uncle Creepy
McGee

Got a nice bet on that spread too :D

Kampmann I think will beat Alves, just as technical as Alves, maybe not quite as powerful but I think he'll win via cardio and being able to push harder in the depths of the 2nd and 3rd round.
