PS JJ will make him look like a clown, chael should fight rashad evans cos they match up well and wanna another shot at the belt or a belt !

also no ones discussing Randa roussey and strikeforce event on sat ?!

I love watching her snap arms lol makes me curl my toes though

You mean Ronda? I REALLY like her. Been watching All Access & the ESPN shoot with her. Seems really down to earth and utterly stunning. Will be a good fight though on Sat, I'm expecting it to go at least one round!

Chael will not get a title fight from beating Forrest. I think they will give him the loser of the Shogun Gus fight possibly after Forrest before giving him a title push.

I wouldn't be surprised if he does get a shot pretty quickly - remember it's not whether it's deserved, it's all about how much $$$ Dana can make and Chael always entertains!!!

Well, that and the fact that Bones has run through pretty much everyone else!

Came across an interesting read the other day about that Edgar fight

Agree with it some what, it certainly seems Dana can't remain unbiased and I dislike him. As someone at the head of such a big and I would say up and coming but it is pretty prominent now he really doesn't handle himself well. They try to shrug off this brawling/street fighting view some people have of it and when you have a president that curses and criticises everything so openly, starting little twitter war spats and god knows what else he really does not help the image I feel.

He just looks at what will make the biggest money asap and will sometimes ignore people or make strange decisions. That article says how he usually is so critical of the judges and when pushed on that Henderson/Edgar fight he barely said anything. He clearly has people he wants to push into the lime light and keep them there. I would say Edgar won that fight as well and should probably have a rematch, to say straight up before hand no matter what Diaz is next seems a little harsh on either fighter.

yes of course ronda ;)

Think she can snap another arm within 1 round ?

:D

many fans agree frankie took it but just barely

Sometimes though i think u gotta take it from the champ... not just win

no idea if that makes sense, but u cant fight close something "drastic" has to happen ala pettis flying cage kick....

Anything for that matter something that just sticks in the judges mind and says no this guy did try something and not played it safe and deserves it over a close or split win.....

Something similar in the Machida fight wasn't it? Was it his first one against Shogun? I can't remember. They said then that did they do enough to take the belt.

He makes it look really easy, one comment and he has jones biting. Once he beats forrest and assuming jones gets past hendo and machida, chael will be next in line.

Would not be surprised tbh. I don't see many people at 205 really trying to push the fight apart from Machida.

I would not be surprised if Dan knocks jones out. When Machida caught him with a decent shot you can see his knees went weak. I suspect he ain't got a chin.

Hitting him is the bloody problem when he spends most of the fight holding out his hands straight. The guy can land elbows from further out than most can hit with a punch.

Anyone see Jones saying this?

I don't want to fight Lyoto Machida," Jones said. "He was my lowest pay-per-view draw of last year.

"No one wants to see me fight Lyoto Machida. I don't want to fight Lyoto again. Lyoto is high risk and low reward.

"He's a tough fighter, but no one wants to buy that fight.

I don't think that's a good argument. Considering how the first fight went I think the rematch would be a much bigger ppv draw. I thought the Machida was getting the winner of Henderson v Jones? Will Jones decline the fight if he beats Dan?

Also, I would like to see JJ vs Chael. Silva is a league above JJ, and we all know what happened to Silva.. so it would be an interesting fight.

edit: Used to like Ronda but after watching some of the build up to this fight.. I wouldn't mind seeing Kaufman KO her.

Just got round to watch 150.... That main event decision was garbage!

2,4 and 5 to Edgar pretty clearly, 1 to Hendo, 3 could've gone either way.

Sick of judges in MMA tbh, so many dodgy points decisions it's getting ridiculous.

I think she is just too good. Will be interesting to see her vs. Santos when the drug ban expires. I don't know womens MMA much but who can beat her? Sherdog had an article on people to look at for at the Olympics, the American Judo gold medallist was one, but whether she moves over to MMA is a different matter.

Love watching mma people with a backround in judo. Some spectacular trows

Here's a question.....

Rousey has six first round arm bar finishes, in six professional fights.
This is unprecidented in MMA. This is better than Jones or A Silva.

My question is this, is this because Rousey is an absolute monster, and the best submission fighter we've seen, is it because the standard of womens MMA is much lower and Rousey is simply the best trained and maybe hardest working female fighter there is, or is it a bit of both?

I suspect it's both. I think that there is a distinct lack of depth and competition in womens MMA, but I also think that had there been better competition that Rousey would still be a beast, maybe comparable to one of the guys mentioned above.
I don't think that she'd have six first round finishes, but I do think she'd have six wins.

Thoughts?
