Man Chris is a stud. He checked that kick prefect.

Have to feel for silva.

Hate the way it ended. Surely the end if silva career?

Just watched the fights.

Man, how fun is Ronda? I love her throws. Miesha is tough AF too, tougher than most men no doubt. Fun fight.

Really dunno how I feel about the main event. For sure Chris is a stud, and I wanted him to win but that really, really ****ing sucks. Horrible way to lose, and most probably the end of Silva's career too. Kudos to Chris for the muted celebration. Worthy champion for sure.

Silva is G.O.A.T

No more work left to be done, ufc offical statement here but I don't believe it I think @ 38 he is retired and done, the pain and agony no way at 38 you come back from that he should have done what GSP did and retire early and he would sleep better at night:

"Following Saturday evening's UFC 168 main event, former champion Anderson Silva was taken to a local Las Vegas hospital where he underwent surgery to repair a broken left leg. The successful surgery, performed by Dr. Steven Sanders, the UFC's orthopedic surgeon, inserted an intramedullary rod into Anderson's left tibia. The broken fibula was stabilized and does not require a separate surgery. Anderson will remain in the hospital for a short while, but no additional surgery is scheduled at this time.

Recovery time for such injuries may vary between three and six months."

Silva to do those boxing bouts now?

There was talk of him going into boxing over the past year.. I'm sure Jones Jr was mentioned..

Thoughts?

The reason RJJ was at the event was to do promo on the boxing match him and Silva were to have.

The new name being mentioned is now nick diaz - seems stupid to me, the whole concept of an MMA guy fighting a boxer under boxing rules

No chance, a top level boxer vs a top level MMA fighter under boxing rules, the boxer would kill them.

Feel horrible for Silva, gotta be the end of his career forsure.

Didnt James Toney already prove that boxer under MMA rules gets taken down and submitted in the first? The boxing stance is all wrong for avoiding the single leg.

Well that was one of the weirdest cards I've watched in a while -
no more than 30 seconds before the end to the Weidman - Silva fight, I mentioned to my mates watching that I was surprised that more fighters didn't break even their own legs while throwing low kicks to the shin!

Spooky!!!!!!

Well last nights card was crazy and that leg break is without a doubt Silva career over especially after loosing the first time he had the lip out saying he quit then, at 38 and achieving what he has I'm sure he's done such a shame too what a asset to the sport he's been.

I always shudder when fighters do standing back flips or off from the cage. Can go so so wrong.

I feel a little hollow about the Silva/Weidman fight. Like a promise unfulfilled.

Horrible break and I feel sorry that this may be how his career ends.

Rousey vs Tate was the fight for me. I really wanted Ronda to get a smacking but alas it was not to be. Great fight though!

Was a great fight but why on earth did Tate try and take her down so many times when she was clearly hurting her on the feet.

I just didn't understand that, what were her corner saying to her? She hit Rousey a couple of times and shook her, she should have stayed on her feet and boxed, and I think she would have won. I appreciate that it's easy to say it now, but she shouldn't have tried to take her down at all. Rousey is too strong in take-downs and on the mat.

Shame about Silva, that was a nasty break. Chris looked very good in the 1st round but Silva is always unpredictable so who know what the outcome would have been.
