DC seems like a really nice guy, on one hand I am routing for him but on the other don't want to see jones lose as the guy is a freaking beast who is only getting better.

Problems I see for DC on outside he will get out struck because of range and jones striking ability, on inside pressed up against cage he will get cut to bits by vicious elbows. If he can get him to the ground he's got to look out for submissions, and jones is very good at submissions.

On the other hand I don't think jones has faced a calibre of wrestler as DC, and a proper heavyweight one at that. IF DC gets hold of him he could be going for a ride.

Weighing up, Jones has to be heavy favourite.

Going to have to watch it in morning hopefully without seeing who wins as got to do some long distance traveling :(

I usually record it and watch it the next morning.
The only slight issue with this is the adverts are often after the end of a fight.

I then fast forward and sometimes see who get's their hand raised. It would probably be better to watch the re run, its on abit late for me this week though.

For anyone not wanting to get hyped for this card.
I reccommend not watching the above vids or the countdown thast weas broadcast.

Cannot wait now!
 
just nipped down the bookies and stuck £5 on JJ to win, only got 4/7 odds though so im not booking my retirement just yet
if i was more daring id have gone for JJ to win via points as thats what i think will happen tbh

No spoilers from me but you have to watch the Cerrone / Jury fight.

Rest of the card has been pretty meh up until then, time for the main event.
 
It seems my prediction was correct, DC hadn't fought anyone the caliber of Jones before and got himself dominated in all areas - the wrestling too which was a huge surprise! Greco roman is far better suited to MMA compared with freestyle.
 
Well...that was a pretty awful main card. Meh.

Jones outwrestled DC. Called it in this thread in July last year.

The only person I can see beating Jones is Gustafsson.
 
Seeing as we are talking in the open about the card why do refs let jbj hold for far longer than any other fighter round 4/5 he held up the cage for such along time * yes I understand how wrestling/clinch game work's * but for round 4 he spend a good 3 mins just holding dc up the cage and herb dean just let him with no real action from jbj

I was thinking this, was like that for a good while. Even after there was a warning for holding inside, I thought there would be seperation for just holding.

Jones showed 0 class at the end though.

The card was meh for me, I did not realsie until earlier there was only a few bouts I was interested in though.

Looking forward to some of the fight nights.

Certainly a Meh card overall, the Cerrone fight was good and he was just flawless really so much anger. DC didnt have the gas in the end and couldnt land anything clean, Jones is just too difficult to read. I want a Jones V Gustafson 2 as IMO Gustafson won.
