Jones will walk straight out and poke DC in the eye, DC will try to tell the ref he got poked but the ref didnt see it so allows fight to continue
Jones beats DC in the first round
DC whinges about eye poke after the fight
a rematch is scheduled

see you all for Jones v DC 2 in 6 months :)

Hah,

I am super excited for it, however the above may actually happen.

Looking forward to seeing the Cerrone bout also. Just been looking some good fight nights coming up as well!

Jones is notorious for filthy eye pokes, so wouldn't be at all surprised to see plenty of that in this fight.

Saying that, I see DC getting his hands on JBJ at some stage and dumping him straight on his head, and that'll be all she wrote (for that round).

The question is whether he can do it often enough, I personally think he can, he hasn't had trouble man handling legitimate 250 pounders in the HW division so I don't see Jones keeping him at bay.

The height and reach differences might play some part. You'd think that Jones will try to keep Cormier at distance and try to pick him off with his unconventional striking. Jones also has some vicious elbows so Cormier will have to be wary of those when he does try to close the distance. It's going to be a hell of a fight, it's probably the fight I've most looked forward to for the last year or so. My heart says Cormier but my head says JBJ.

I'm trying not to get hyped up for this one as I'm certain its going to be a JBJ eye-poke-fest that leaves me frustrated and angry.

I wonder if jones tries to wrestle with him? Since he likes to out do everyone at their own game.

Cormier is a different animal from anyone he has faced so far though, he is properly thick with huge legs / buttocks which is all muscle. If he gets holds of bones I think someone's going for a ride.

not long to go now, cant wait :D

Damn it, I'm trying not to get hyped up for this, you're not helping! :D

Come on guys, call it, who gets the win?

I'm going Cormier.

heart says DC but my head says Jones, i dont think he'l finish DC... i think its gonna be a close judges decision with Jones staying champ, but with DC thinking he could have had it and deserves a rematch
best odds are 11/5 for my prediction, but i wouldnt bet on it :)

Although DC has looked unbeatable, even when fighting bigger guys, I just don't think any of his opponents have been the same caliber as Jon Jones.

It was impressive when DC was beating the bigger guys, his speed advantage helped tremendously as well as his incredible wrestling technique.

Since dropping down to light heavyweight though DC hasn't fought anyone of note in my opinion, he's fought an old Dan Henderson who weighed 197lbs, so was likely outweighed by 20lbs on fight night and a guy with an MMA record of 4-0 making his UFC debut and taking the fight on one weeks notice - DC should have, and did, steam roll these guys.

It'll be interesting to see how he gets on against Jones and I am routing for him, I just can't see him pulling it off.

This for me as well, as others have said heart says DC, my head sees JBJ.

As big as the event is, I cannot see me staying up for it though, just too late!

Shame as I do find events more exciting live.

DC was just pacing! Jones looks confident, and calm. Looking at DCs body at 205, makes me wonder whether he could make 185?

Seriously pumped for this fight, massive hype, just hope it doesn't disappoint.

Go DC!

Think he might try 185 if he loses this fight. He could definitely cut another 20 pounds, whether he'll feel good and still strong as a wrestler at that weight is different though.
