I think Johnson gassed himself in the 1st with that flurry and after that he did what he had to do to get the win, it wasn't exciting but he got the job done.

I have no idea how Davis was given the 1st, he clearly took the 2nd and 3rd but not the 1st.

Everyone is bashing his wrestling on other forums, but once he swapped to the single leg he took lil nog down at will.

Anyhow Dana white has said he loves that f* kid, so it doesnt look like hes being cut I think hardy knew this also.... a step down and going to titan/smaller mma companies would set him on the right path.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see him move over to Strikeforce, would make sense now that Zuffa own both promotions.

Didn't think much of that night of fights Saturday.

How did the judges give the first round to Davis?

I thought it was a good event, but then I had money on a lot of fights so that probably held my interest even during the duller moments...

No idea how the judges gave Davis round 1 though, I was shocked when Buffer announced "all three judges score it 30-27", I had it down as 29-28 for sure.

Oh and I'll just leave this here, seeing as I'm a fan of The Reem; so bummed that they moved his fight with Werdum from April 9th to June 18th but I guess a couple of extra months wait won't kill me!

Nog won the first in a big way, but I actually thought the second was quite close too, Nog was winning it but Davis just about stole it in the last minute of the round. If he hadn't of got the takedown i think it could have been another Nog round.

Here's the Gracie breakdown for last weekends fights, worth watching for those of you who are interested in the technical aspects of ground fighting:

Really enjoy those Gracie breakdown vids (and the one by Eddie Bravo). Really helps a non-BJJ person understand the techniques and how the submissions are pulled off :).

Dont forget TUF 13 started last night. Just watched ep 1, dont want to spoil it for anyone :)

I just finished watching it too; I'm not hugely pumped for this season to be honest, after 13 seasons of the same format it's starting to feel a bit stale.

I haven't watched it since Rampage and Evans.

It's all about the drama in the house and less about the training etc.

Yup, and even the drama has been pretty lame.

They need to get Chael Sonnen in the house against either Mike Bisping or Wanderlei Silva, now that would be worth watching!

not having to fight to get into the house was a bit disappointing, but as said above would love to see Chael Sonnen as one of the coaches(maybe against Anderson Silva :p...i know he is champ already so it won't happen).

I think they've changed the format so less people get injured to be honest, last few seasons the guys have had to do too many fights in a short space of time and incurred a lot of injuries. First fight was a snoozefest. JDS seems a likeable character.
