wow cut from the ufc.... must have been something very serious, major blow for Nate.

No one else looking forward to Pat barry and Kongo or Meathead in tonights ufc ?

Either that or people are passed out by the heat wave lol

Love watching Pat Barry fight! his leg kicks are brutal!

Thanks for posting this; for some reason I thought the event was over after Story-Brenneman and switched it off only to realise upon reading your post that I hadn't seen the main event!

They said ''its over'' twice, in the space of 10-15 seconds, he was all over the place, definatly thought it was over, then all of a sudden, uppercut :), good reffing to let it go.

I definitely thought it was over the 2nd time he went down, Dan bumped into the back of him which is why Rogan said its all over i think.

Just watched the Kongo fight, quality. He could barely stand, can't believe he managed to land a punch of such power!

Just watched it also. Unbelievable comeback by Cheick Kongo! The guy looked like he was done for. I even for a few seconds felt sorry for him, then suddenly boom!!! Pat is out and after a few punches his eyes role to the back of his head and looked like he was dead for a while!

Never seen anything like it. Even my other half was like, wow!!! :)

Lots of new mma watchers if you have never seen anything like that before.

I don't think kongo was as hurt as he looked, as he was soon up and about after it was called the first punch hit him cleanish behind the ear then not much else with power.

Scott Smith vs Pete Sell was better as smith went down for ages after the fight, which shows he was really hurt.

Or even Tim Sylvia vs Andrei arlovski 2 etc there are loads of them

Yeah watching that fight again kongo perhaps was not as hurt that bad or got his bearings back quite fast... I think the referee coming in and Pat going into his "finishing" mode just made the whole fight so thrilling especially when Pat looks like a dead corpse on the floor within seconds.

Gotta feel da pain for Pat though, I had a feeling he would win the fight he changed his ways and became no more mr nice guy... no touching of gloves or respect at all just warrior mode left on.... and he still lost !

Despite the fact that Kongo came back to win, you certainly wouldnt have complained if Dan had come in and stopped that after the second knockdown, you've certainly seen fights stopped there.

Gutted for Barry as he strikes me as one of the nicest guys in the sport, but hes a big draw and he will be back.

Really think he should be fighting at 205, he has lots of spare weight he isn't really cut up, seems to have lots of un needed muscle.

Bet he is dwarfed by someone like Forrest Griffin, I think he could do really well at that weight if he takes his power with him.

Yeah, that's why even the commentators said, they have watched over 2000 ufc matches and never seen anything like that. But of course, you would know better

I have seen many comebacks, guys getting beaten for the whole 3 rounds and then at the last few seconds gets in a submission or a knockout, but not like that.

To be fair I've seen this happen a couple of times, can't remember if it was @ 2Hot 2 Handle or King of the Cage and the Pete Sell / Scott Smith fight but that was a bodyshot that started it. Depends on how you view things :)

And come on Mike Goldberg talks so much rubbish! Bring back Jeff Blatnick lol

Really enjoyed the event, interested to see what Nate says today about his sacking.
