Woah that Gane Tuivasa fight was insane.
Other than knocking Gane down (and out for a second) once with that big shot, Tai was overall dominated by Gane. Those brutal front kicks to the stomach really had Tai grimacing badly and imo that matchup really showed the difference in physicality between a fighter that is mentally and physically a prime specimen athlete (Gane) and a fighter who has a brawlers body and mentality (Tai).

Tai also annoyed me when he wasn't taking the fight seriously and stopped to have some goofy chats with the ref Goddard.

Interestingly there are some fans calling for the result to be overturned as Gane made an illegal hammerfist blow to thee back of Tai's head https://www.essentiallysports.com/u...-tuivasa-at-ufc-paris-as-fans-say-illegal-st/

Skipped through most of the fights as was short on time yesterday. Watched the main and co main. Massively entertaining. The Reaper looks so good when he's not fighting Izzey! Calm and totally in control, took hardly any shots, masterclass.

Maybe its because of my leanings for the underdog, but I think Diaz has a good chance.

I think Burns exposed a lot of openings in Chimaev defence.

Also Chimaev won't have the advantage on the ground.

It's definately a gate keeper fight. A test for Chimaev to come through.

Nate has a good chance? Chimaev won't have the advantage on the ground? Not sure if serious.

Gilbert was a much tougher test and is a far superior fighter than Nate both standing up and on the ground and if you think otherwise then I am not sure what to say.

I think Nate sees this fight as another of Dana's teacher pets, like Conor.

It'll be a tough fight for sure.

As we saw with the Edwards fight, if you switch off because it’s been a cakewalk Diaz can still be dangerous but really you’d expect him to get battered badly enough for a stoppage.

The big thing for Chimaev will be if he can show he’s learnt from the last fight to listen to his coaches, stick to the game plan and not just let the red mist take over and swang’n’bang. He made the Burns fight way harder for himself than it needed to be and it being such a close result hopefully drilled it into his head that at the top level you need your fight IQ intact and can’t just go full Leroy Jenkins against the higher ranked guys.

Chimaev was a -2,200 favourite with the Vegas bookies earlier this week. Come in to -1,150 now.
I think he'll take him down early in the first round, maul him and choke him out. Diaz hasn't had a win since 2016.

Can't see any outcome other than a Chimaev submission.

Diaz is done and doesn't act like he wants to be in the ring any more. Chimeav has shown he's got enough of a chin to survive a slip-up....and is likely to just dominate him on the ground anyway.

Disgrace - Nate made all the effort to get there on weight, do it right, and your opponent standing there 8lb over looking like nothings happened..... Shocking..... I'm no Nate fan, but to miss it by that much is disrespectful. A 1/2lb here or there you can forgive, but that's like he's not even made an attempt to make weight.

He was just smiling away at the weight in like nothing happened. Shocking

Apparently ufc doctor told him to stop cutting weight last night according to Dana.

Anyhow seems we have a better cardout of all the drama and a card that make more sense.

Nate vs tony
Chim vs holland
Leech vs some replacement

That’s a better card in my eyes
