One mistake from Shevchenko and the reign ends.... Shame but fair play to Grasso she saw the opportunity and took it.

Jones fight - meehh.... Yes he won, but I thought Gane was very timid and looked like he just didn't fancy it from the bell.

Rakhmonov is a problem - he can take a punch but man he looks good.... 17-0 record now

Lot of hype around Nickal but he backed it up - still shows how "thin" some of these big cards are when a 3-0 fighter gets on the main event.

Gane (I dont train wrestling until fight camp) was beat before he got in there by looks of it.

What is it with WMMA and head and arm throws or low probability spinning attacks.... respect to the new champ though, great to hear they practised for that thing in training, shows its too much of a common attack.

Well done Jones. Was expecting a more competitive fight in the main event but he made it look far too easy. Doesn't look like Ganes' grappling or TD has improved that much it seems and you would have thought his camp would have focused a lot on that.

I didn't think Jones would have had the advantage of wrestling on the ground with heavyweights. But he does.

It would be good if a Jones vs Cormier fight at heavyweight took place as they have now both been 2 division champs.

Is DC still Jone's hardest test in the HW division too? I genuinely believe he would be, and it'd be epic for champ champ vs champ champ, but that's just a pipe dream! Think Jones handles Stipe comfortably because of his wrestling prowess

I can't say I agree with that sentiment, the guy had the same blase appearance when facing Ngannou but turned up to fight - Jon is just a different breed, and it was very evident that forward pressure was a massive part of his game to not let Gane get set.

Gane also had nerves against Francis, but this was much worse and Gane was beaten before he started. There is a lot of media concensus over this and I don't see how it's not obvious if you watched those fights.

I big advantage Jones as is the ground game.

Most of the heavyweights have no ground game. So anyone facing Jones will be under constant threat of being taken down.

Miocic seems to be the next challenger in July. Unless he can catch Jones early on with a punch (he's a former boxing golden glove champion) then if he gets taken down he'll struggle the same as Gane.
