Yeah I dont think he took the easy way out... a lot of folk are saying it right now especially on sherdog forums. I dont think he could see yet he lyed to the doc and said I can see dispite that cut bleeding into his eye.

Guy still tried to bring it but expected nothing less.

I think munoz did a good job his striking yeah went out the window and he went back to doing what he does best, just goes to show if you got a good gameplan and can adjust and show your alround game, winning becomes a option.

Munoz vs Sonnen id like to see Or give him winner or looser of miller vs bisping for no1 contender sport.

Stitch in the corner said he could sort out the cut for him.

We have seen way worse than that and people carried on.

Also notice in the after fight interview he complained about blood dribbling in his throat, not that he couldn't see.

I just don't see how Leben could come to a five round fight, with cardio that barely lasted a round. It's a joke, but then Leben is and always be a B level fighter, has chin and a ton of power. But that's about it, excellent MW gatekeeper. Will always have a job though, exciting and knocks people out :)

He did make me chuckle about KO'ing Silva, "lets see Munoz do that" to be honest I think my 3 year old niece could KO Silva these days. He has no chin and is a shell of his former self.

Leben has always been gatekeeper material, he was I suppose, a top10 stepping stone, but has pushed himself to the next level and is now the gatekeeper to the top5 perhaps.

I wondered if he had a detached retina or something during the fight, but afterwards it seemed like it wasn't bothering him at all, and also the phrase he uttered about knowing when to quit seemed to reinforce the looking for a way out opinion. To be fair he was eating some massive shots.

Like many people, having seen every fight of his since his stint on TUF, I think i've built up quite a lot of love & respect for him seeing how far he has come.

He did gas quick though, maybe a symptom of all the punishment he was taking.

On the UG this morning there is a thread about him cutting 21lbs in 24 hours. That probably took it out of him.

Oh I like and respect him to, this just wasn't his best fight.

What are peoples thought on Munoz claim to a title shot? I don't think this win puts him there just yet.

Maybe Okami next, or Stann he was close to a shot until he lost to Sonnen.

Nah not yet plus if anderson only has a few fights left i'd rather see something else than this. Cant see munoz being able to get anderson to the ground. if he did though he certainly has strong GnP

junior all day

so is it going to be a watch online job? i have VM unless i get my parents to record it on sky?

I have ESPN but I'm not sure if Cain vs JSD is the only fight being shown on pay-per-view as I think the rest of the card is classed as prelim fights and are shown free on Facebook!?!?!?

Cain v JDS - what a fight this will be!!

I like them both a lot but I think I'd like JDS to win.

The fight is on fox, well the ufc primetime was on fox so the fight must be

For the UK, this weekends UFC on Fox is unencrypted on Primetime or free on ufc.tv (and if it is the same as the last UFC on Versus then this will be both live and also on demand the day(s?) after).

Yeah I was going to say that about the whole 21 pounds in 24 hours thing. if thats the case then no wonder he was looking gassed - although there is absolutely no excuse for that. Leben seems hell bent on self-sabotage, first the whole candy binge before the Stann fight and now a horribly bad weight cut that left him gassed after 5 minutes.

Munoz isnt really ready for a title shot in my opinion. He took a razor thin decision against Maia and beat a gassed Chris Leben... its hardly the sort of form you'd expect from somebody who is going to be challenging one of the best fighters in the world. Okami wouldn't be a bad bet, he got mauled by Anderson, but if Munoz can beat him and put on an impressive performance it'll help him stand out from the division. Palhares is another option, that would be an interesting bout in my opinion. Probably equal on the feat, both have very solid takedowns... then it'll be the whole wrestling vs BJJ thing.

I do think Leben took the easy way out. Please don't take that as fighter bashing, I like Leben and I respect him as somebody who has never quit in the past. However I think he entered this fight following an awful weight cut, he had absolutely nothing left in him after that first round, he had a nasty cut... and I think he knew that all that was going to happen if he went out there for another round was he was going to get beat up, badly. Nobody wants to be on the bottom with Munoz raining down bombs on you, now imagine that when you're feeling sick from fatigue, blood running into your eyes... I can understand it.

I think it is a good fit, he is only really lacking in wrestling and cardio. Both of which extreme couture can help him with. They will bring in people if they don't have people for him to sparr with.

I would have preferred he went to AKA though, but then Cain is there so I guess that might be why he didn't.
