Yeah in reality nobody really likes being hit but most fighters will take and expect a punch during their fights. Brock can't deal with this pressure. Maybe it was a tad silly bringing it up while he's taking on Brock whose striking isn't great but I have seen Overeem back off from exchanging, granted it wasn't in the last few years.

Brock literally ducks his head and shys away when he is being hit, I've never seen Reem cowering away from an exchange.

He literally ran away from Kharitonov but that was around 2008 if I recall correctly. Or might have been the first time they fought, really can't remember too well.

Was the 2nd time they fought, he was rocked and ran across the ring and then got tko'd.

He doesn't cower in every exchange is the point, Kharitonov rocked him hard a bunch of times before that.

Just re watched the fight, can't believe how small he looks compared to now.

I found an MMA documentary, some of you old timers that have watched the sport of MMA longer then I have (2 years or so) will probably already know who this is and will have seen this documentary before...but for those of you that havent seen it I really enjoyed this when I watched it last night.

It was recommended to me from a friend who has been watching MMA since it started 17 years ago or whenever it was...sorry if I got the time frame mixed up. I might be explaining this completely wrong by my friend said "he was the first mma champion in the UFC".

The documentary shows quite a lot actually, it talks about him and this other guy, and drug abuse the fighters go through and also the politics with what happened in the past in america with UFC and everything moving to PRIDE in japan when the US public didnt like MMA at the time.

I hope I get at least one thank you for this linK! haha

:D
Please remove this link OcUK doesn't want to promote steroid use, especally showing a link of some tool shooting up!

Thanks for posting it, made interesting viewing last night.

Does Saturdays upset mean that Big Country now has the best chin in the heavy weight division? If he gets a little leaner and faster it could just work for him.

Horsemeat for the win !

I think Brock has a decent chance against Overeem. Overeem was tentative against Werdum in their recent SF fight due to being worried about being taken down and subbed, so I imagine he will be just as (or more) worried about 265lb+ of ground and pound master Lesnar getting on top and brutalising him.

At the same time though Overeem could destroy Lesnar with knee's if he tries to get in close or clinch etc.

I'd love to see Lesnar go on to beat Overeem and then JDS to regain the HW title.

Overeem wasn't scared of Werdum's takedowns, Werdum was flopping to his ass whenever they came to exchange so he couldn't do much.

Yes Werdum probably would have subbed him if he had taken him down, but Werdum hasn't really got any takedowns and his butt flopping failed completely.

I do agree Lesnar is a dangerous fight for Overeem though, he is dangerous for anyone due to his size and wrestling.

Interested to see how it pans out.

I think Lesnar is going to have to go for really tight clinches to get the takedowns on Overeem, I'm doubting he's going to want to shoot on him because he is highly likely to eat a knee on the way in. He just needs to make sure it's a really tight clinch so there isn't enough room for Overeem to throw knees, elbows and generate power.

Overeem just needs to keep Brock on the outside and dismantle him from there.

Lesnar also needs to be careful of the guillotine if/when he shoots, as Overeem has got a pretty nice guillotine.

but I just dont see them knocking Wandy out...

As someone who likes Wandy and despises Cung Le, know that I say thiswigh regret, but a light breeze has a chance of putting Wandy to sleep if some people are to be believed.

Which makes Bispings loss to him all the more funny

not sure what to think with 139

shogun v henderson is a tough call. it very much depend which shogun turns up. prob leaning towards henderson but shogun is one of my favs

silva v le again is interesting. its likely to stay standing and i can see le keeping his distance and picking silva apart. going for Le but this will be a big jump in competition for him

picking story to beat kampmann

not sure where to bet yet
