The Official FIFA 12 Club(11v11)

Heh I know ridiculous price, but i got shafted on my pre-order when they delayed it which was cheaper so I just ended up paying more from a retailer I trust. Don't think £25 is worth for a buggy game full of glitches and various other annoyances, worth more like £15 :p

Can't see FIFA making any drastic changed in the next iteration, probably a few improvements here and there, too costly and time consuming to develop a new game.
 
Just a quick post, we struggled a bit tonight which even included a 6 nil but they did go down to 10 men and had to use an any.

Were struggling in attack when we come up against tougher opposition, now I know I wasn't at my best tonight but we just lack creativity at times. I get the ball and no one is in space forward so I either fail at a pass or just ended up going backwards. Never really got any chances when I was running through, everyone seems to want to go for the killer ball and always over the top with a lobbed ball when there's no reason to.

Keep telling people and not in a bad way lol as don't want to upset anyone again!

Just simple tips:

Keep the ball on the deck were possible as its easier to control and easier to run on to. To many times people were lobbing the ball through for me when the defender has got like a 5 yard head start on me.

If through ball not on just pass to feet, if I'm running through and don't think the through ball is on I drop off and stand for a pass to feet but then people think they shouldn't pass to me as I'm not running forward. Pass to me and you make the run, like a lovely little triangle.

Finally stand in space, to many times get the ball in the middle and everyone is running the same way which just makes it easier for the defence, if one person drops of it makes space in behind or for the person who has dropped off.

Some players need to improve, at times we look great with certain players on or even against lesser teams but then at times we look terrible. Stopped playing tonight as I didn't want any more losses or I would have carried on.

Also need to make the squad smaller and clean it up a bit, loads in it are not active. I know you've said about sorting this but at the moment its just getting bigger.
 
Not at home so typing from my phone while on the train. So will keep it short and forgive and typos introduced by predictive typing.

One thing that I will reinforce of what Philip is saying is long balls. Some people over use this way to much and we just keep losing the ball. Unless the person is completely unmarked and say you want to change play from one wing to the other, do not long pass. We just lose the ball. I mean it surprises me with some players, how many times are you going to fail a long pass before you realise its just better to keep it simple? :P

If you find it hard to do something or struggling with something you are doing during a match, stop doing it. Perfect it in training and then try again in game, preferably in one we are up 2 nil.

As for getting rid of inactive members, Jon was supposed to have made a post last week, I think he has been busy. I will sort it out shortly. More on this tomorrow.

It may also be the way I play. It may not suit certain people the way I play striker but feel I do try adapt to who ever I'm with. I usually get chances running in behind but doesn't happen as much with some players. I could try different position and see how we do or try and recruit a out and out striker. I'm still enjoying things can just tell when its not going to be a good night hence why I stopped playing. A lot of new player so just need to get use to how we play, could have some practice matches maybe.

Ah man, unlucky. That's a nice phone. Don't know about how much it would cost to fix, but could be anywhere up to £100 :(
Try googling a bit. Hope the phone still works and it's just the screen.

What happened, did you ask to play FIFA one too many times and wife got mad? :eek:


On another note, I will be doin a clean out today. I will take down the list of players who will be getting the kick and post it here. All those guys will be welcome back once they have time and inted to be active.

The only person that I see that is active on origin but does not respond is McDan. He is a decent player too, I enjoyed playing with him. Good team player that lad. But going to have to let him go also. He is more than welcome to come back once he is active again. If only he would respond and say he intends to be active on so and so date then it would be fine :(

The way you play is fine. Stats don't lie. You create the most and have the highest overall match rating and get MoM a lot if not the most.

Problem with sticking anyone else regularly is striker is creativity. Problem with me when I am striker is I can't keep the ball long enough for people to get in position so I can pass and create. I tend to mainly just try and be in space so I can get it and shoot. This is the case with most others too.

Can mix it up a bit if you want this month though. Don't see us challenging for the league, as we have many new guys and maybe some more yet, though those will have to be CB and GK ones to come. If everyone is cool with it let us use this season as the final one to get who we need and gel with them. Then after if anyone is to join they will have to have good stats and be someone like taman, where we he has lots of experience already. This way that person can slot in easier without disturbing the team and results.

If possible we will try and do this in a few weeks then still try and push for the league. But as results so far show, won't be doing well for a few weeks things are sorted.

But overall it's all good I think. We will have a nice big active team. People can pop in when they want and have others to play with. People that will know our style of play and so will get best possible results and enjoyment.

Ah and one final thing, I messaged you on origin matty. You never got back to me. Let me know please. Would rather now than later where it may disturb the team and results.

lol na me and my missus were using it as a torch last night outside our garden looking for something and she tried to hand the phone back to me over and fell on the ground :(

Yeah it is true. The cheating Russians came and won the league in like a week or two. lol.

So, did some spring cleaning. Four people were kicked. I have also idenfied 4 more who will potentially get the kick by the end of the week if they do not start getting active. These are mostly the new guys though. One of them have yet to play a game. But might as well give these guys a bit of time.

The one who were kicked today are:

iKokuten - Joined played a few games and never seen him since.

OllieDell - Joined played a lot first week or two, never seen since.

withersomethingsomething - he's forum name is voorhees1979 - Joined and played a few games and never seen since.

McDan - Joined played a week or two and not seen since. I would not have kicked him, but I did contact him on origin once or twice and he never got back to me. See him on origin in online status quite a few times unlike the others, but there is no excuse not to reply as origin has offline messaging :)

Now we have 19 members, of which I would say 15 are definitely active or somewhat active which is good enough. I can see for sure 2 more departing next week and 2 getting a warning.

Remember guys, if you are going to be away or want to take a break, just say. That way we know and it's not a problem. But to not be online without logging and saying something for weeks on end and not reply on top, you risk getting the spring clean action and we will just look for active people. Also if you did want to join in the future you risk not being let back in as we will only have so many places. That is why I am telling matty, you have mentioned on at least 2 occasions to me alone your interest of re-joining us soon. Better do it now at the start of the season so we can gel and move forward ;)

I thought last night it was too quiet in the lobby on how poor we were passing the ball.

It is easier said than done and everyone has a mare with their passing at times, but it was poor last night.

As a suggestion, how about giving Phil and Stoko the manager access, so that when Jon and Trance are not on, there is people with the 'managers power' to bark out instructions in the lobby.

You crack me up at times Jambo. It's not barking out orders. Some people just seem to perceive it that way. They usually start of as tips, then when someone has to say the same thing 2-3 times due to no one listening, then it comes over that way. But no one is "barking" :D

And while we at it, there is no "whip" either ;)

Nobody was making any suggestions in the lobby regarding to try and keep the passing simple.

Not sure why.

Anyway, no big deal. One of those nights, hehe.

To anyone, feel free to contact me with a message through origin or in the lobby to offer advice to me if you feel you need to about something I am doing wrong in the game or a suggestion as to what I can improve.

There is things I need to improve on, maybe having more advice will help me.

I did mention passing a few times, I even pointed funky out personally in lobby. I also did send some pm's(I try to do more now otherwise people get upset) but that again isn't really my job. I would say your doing fine at moment, were just lacking a little bit of creativity in the harder games. Also, voice comms would be good if we could get more people on. We don't always chat about fifa but it helps the team in general.
