Tweaking the db or the game? If you are tweaking the game I don't see how it confuses the db. And if you tweak the db the game shouldn't take notice of it really.

Don't know which little team I would try and succeed with. My team is Man Utd so it'd have to be Salford (at Uni there) or MK Dons or even Leighton Buzzard (hometown). Couldn't really be Luton (birthplace).

I've had some experience of regens across several versions of FM and I agree they are all weirdly lacking in stamina or pace. Very weird. They are normally very good in other areas but just one little area lets them down.

I think the finishing stat only applies properly to strikers. Pique will be scoring loads of goals from corners probably by heading them in using his height and jumping/heading stats.
Yeah. Another thing is that finishing is meant for strikers going one on one with a keeper?
Whereas Pique or other tall defenders won't be going one on one as there'll be other players in the area.

If you don't want to start a new game then get FM Modifier and move him. Think that will work.

What version of FM Mod are you running?
Open editor from SI install folder. Load up your db. Search for Anelka and then change his club in the contract section. Save. Start new game.

Post match questions, if you say that a penalty given against you was awful or that you should have been given a penalty but weren't. That kind of stuff gets you a warning and carrying it on gets you a touchline ban I suppose.
