He starts off at Sao Paulo I think and is 18 at the beginning of the game so if you are in 2010/11 he should be 20/21. I just searched for him with 'Breno' and he's nearer the bottom of the list.
 
Hes 21 and at Reggina. Co-owned by Empoli with an asking price of £4.5 combined from the 2 clubs.

How does a player become co-owned?

Hes stats are decent, better than the Jack Hobbs fella I currently play.
 
Well Breno will have been bought by Reggina or Empoli. And then the other club would have offered £x million to co-own him. Seems to be quite an Italian thing I think.
 
Even struck for cash, Id rather have a player that I fully own.

Does it work out, who ever pays the most the player plays for them or is it a case of what contract the players chooses from what club?
 
You can buy players that are co-owned. This is something that only happens in the Italian league.
To buy any such player you need to bid for each teams share in the player, and if they are both accepted he becomes yours.

Its the contract im pretty sure. Think of it like the whole tevez, mashpotatoe(spelling) and west ham saga.
 
Three players worth looking at for Championship / Premier Divison that are very cheap. James McCarthy is kinda young though so you might want to wait till he's 17 then loan him out for a season. Ermin Rakovic is my top scorer at Sunderland at the moment, and he's being played in the AMC position. Rene Mihelic is also superb, playing him alongside Rakovic.

Mihelic and Rakovic has been stunning for me this season, allowing me to beat Chelsea 4-1 in the League Cup away, 2-1 against Chelsea at home in the league, 3-2 vs. Newcastle at home and 3-1 vs. Middlesborough away.

Check 'em out at least, might be worth picking them up unless you're at Man Utd or so :P

IIRC, the latest patches dont do anything to existing games. So if they fix that striker/keeper problem, unless you start afresh, the problem will still happen in existing games? Or have i got that one wrong there? (hopefully :p).
 
No the saved game you have only has your results, players, teams etc in. The game uses the FM.exe and other files for the match engines etc. So any patches to keeper/striker issues should show up in the new game as the saved game uses FM.exe which would be patched up. :)
 
You might want to add to the first post about the German League names problem and fixes.

Sitting top of league 1 with Cambridge now after 25 games! 8 points clear too. Getting crowds at capacity too :) I wanted to upgrade training and youth facilities, but I suspect my board will do the ground first. I wonder if I will end up with a ground share whilst the work takes place!! My house mate did when managing Histon!

the names are wrong in the german league I believe:

Before loading the game, remove the masks that hide the real German players names and some French teams - go to the FM08 folder, look in db, theres a folder called 800, in there is another folder called Inc - delete this, the whole thing, it is full of .fake files which hide all the real info. C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\data\db\800.

Hmm I would say its almost 50:50. A dual core processor would make the game run faster during the processing but more RAM would also help.

How much RAM do you have now? What processor do you have? Depending on your answer, RAM may be a better upgrade and so may processor.

Are you able to afford both? :p Easy answer, get both! :D

I have dual core 1.8ghz (I think!!) and at the moment 1GB ram, but I've just bought 4gb :)

My upgrade the cpu next, or try clocking it a bit...
