Hmm sometimes. I try to do well with Man Utd and dominate so after 2-3 seasons when its harder to win everything at a canter I kind of get bored with it a bit. :o

A mate of mine regularly has games going to the 2020s.

I've never had long as an international manager so I'd like to do that. I've managed England before but not for long.

Do you only manage one team at a time then? So either a club manager or a country manager? I've juggled being Man Utd and England manager before. :D Is quite cool having games all the time. The international games make the normal quiet periods in the season for a club manager bearable and erm the club games make the international management fun as well. :p

I used to have to wait until either a Euro or World Cup to end and for those countries that performed badly but shouldn't, such as England/Germany/France/Italy/Holland etc to sack their managers and my reputation as Man Utd coach in the 2-3 years in the game before the tournament means I either get offered a nice international job or I can apply and get accepted. :)

If the goalkeeping workload is OK with one keeper then you can do with just one. If it is a little heavy then perhaps get another coach who isn't much cop in anything special to help out. His goalkeeping rating won't affect the overall rating and he'll help reduce the workload. :)

Go to Training then Coaches. Look at the Summary at the bottom of the screen. You'll see a table with 4 columns. Training Category/Number Of Players Training/Coaches/Workload/Rating.

The workload column will give you a hint about how much work a coach is having to do. I like to try and make sure mine are all on light so that they can give as much time as possible to each player rather than be overwhelmed. Unless you have 6+ keepers in the senior coaching time or 6+ in the youth coaching you should be OK I think.

Most sides will have no more than 3-4 keepers in the senior or youth sides so one decent goalkeeping coach should suffice. :)

Yeah how odd, yours must be an act of god lol, I dont think Zola has ever done much defending. He really really should be 7* set piece coach imo maybe the patch after Transfer Window will fix him :D
I think the game does. Some coaches (such as Ole at Utd) have 0 for most of their coaching stats so the game gives them some stats according to their CA/PA.

Would explain why Ole was a better defensive coach than an attacking coach in one of my games. :p

Ooh just asked the board for a new feeder club. However since I've been boss for "some time now" (18th December 2008) they have given me a choice of which feeder club type. So I can choose from:

Any type
National loan/First option
Work permit
Commercial link
International loan/First option

Which type of club link should I go for? What would benefit me/Utd the most? I have the following clubs as my feeder teams and their link type in brackets:

Aberdeen (national loan/first option)
Antwerp (work permit)
Bury (no benefit)
Connah's Quay (first option)
Fluminese (first option)
Gamba (Japan) (commercial link)
New England (USA) (commercial link)
Newport Co (first option)
Paramatta Eagles (Australia) (first option)
Shelbourne (first option)
Sporting CP (first option)

Not bad. I think Zigic is about 28/29 on my game and will cost loads so it'll be either Huntelaar or Villa for me. Only got about £8m to spend (January) so I'll have to wait until summer and see if I can off load Saha (for £2-3m max I think :() and perhaps also Park for £5m and get some better replacements in or promote some youth players.

Hmm doesn't matter really which one it was. Both have zero appearances this season. :p

Last season however he had 36 starts, 22 goals, 4 assists, 6 man of the match awards and an average rating of 7.50.

I'm finding that too. I'm sending scouts out to look for players younger than 18. The scouts are coming back saying, "Nada", in the local dialect of the region they've just been!

As for what season, it's January 31st 2009. I am Man Utd yes. No buy back for Rossi afaik. I do want him back. He looks very good and is at Juve now from Villareal so will cost mega-bucks. :(

I'll check Cabanas out now. :)
