Ok. Why would many people be interested in that? The phones been out for a month plus now and many of us have it and gave our review and impressions about it

Robbo has a range of top end smartphones - his views on the GN would be uniquely informative compared to posts form other people just saying its a great phone, I love the screen etc.

Oh, okay. That's just a bit odd then. :p Most reviewers have used a range of top end smartphones...

It's another perspective on this phone, that is all. Robbo's reviews from what I can remember are to the point and are more about the the phone feels and responds rather than most review sites that just skim over all the aspects of the phone.

Heats on Robbo for a well written review :p

Why does it bother you? 'Most reviewers' talk absolute rubbish as far as I'm concerned as well, there are very few good ones (not saying I'm any better).

Where did I say it bothered me?

Kona said he was waiting for your review. Someone else asked why would they be waiting. I said it was likely as people grow trust in certain people's opinion (therefor it would be a compliment) but kona dashed that by saying it was only because you have used many top end phones.

I was just a little surprised the compliment was dashed in this way for a reason that fits many reviewers...

Does the latter part of post #4629 not address that though? There is also a difference between using a phone for a few days as a review unit and actually using one as your main phone for a prolonged period of time - a big difference.

Anyway, I'll write some thoughts up in a day or two, if you want to read it, feel free to do so, if you think I talk rubbish, don't! :p

Come on Robbo.... you know I think you talk rubbish...

:p

Kona needs to be a little more selective of reviews he reads I think. Reading ones that "just skim over all the aspects of the phone" would be rather a waste of time surely? What do they talk about, the box and packaging? ;)

I've been thinking.

Why should I buy a GN over the (cheaper) SG2

From my not very detailed look at either; increased screen resolution is about all that is standing out to me.

ICS is coming to SG2.

Well, as the Nexus does lack a feature or two, it isn't worth the extra money in 100% of cases, however, things in favour of the Nexus are -

- Higher resolution and larger screen

- Much nicer design (opinion)

- It says Google on it :p

- ICS is untampered and stock, the Samsung version on the S2 will probably look very similar to how Gingerbread does now due to TouchWiz

- NFC which may be useful to you, probably not at the moment though

- It will always get future updates first

Main problems with it -

- Camera is slightly worse than the one on the S2

- Limited to 16GB of storage
