If it gets wet, you need to bang it in a bowl of rice and leave it somewhere warm for at least a few days. Otherwise there might still be water in the electrics shorting stuff out.

I dropped my HTC Magic in a glass of water a few years ago. After a week the phone worked fine but the backlight would randomly blink on and off. A few days later it had totally dried out and that stopped happening.

Nothing to loose now so it's stuck in rice now...

Will check in few days...if it doesn't help, will try to get it to a repair point to have a look and give me a quote for a repair

Great price that

Shame it is stuck on 2.3 for good though (of course you can root and flash ICS though) :(

na happy with 2.3, but might see what cyanmod is like. i have wanted a spare for a while, possible for messy nights out and when i go to a couple of festivals over the summer..... and times like now where my galaxy nexus is being repaired :(

what happened to yours ??

I wasnt able to wipe it properly...I clearer all possible cache there is and still even with flashing back to 4.02 from 4.04 I knew that it still behaves like 4.04...strange I know...

mine was constantly losing all signal, doing on 402 & both 404 builds. i set 'lightflow' to play a sound when signal went and it started doing it around 10 - 15 times a day for no reason, even when not asleep.

O2 were good they agreed to send it for repair to be back within 3 working days - if it is not fixed they will replace it with a new one. tried a new simcard and a few different radio's from xda, but seems to be an issue.

I think there are too many issues with nexus...not sure who to blame...Samsung or google...

I'm disappointed deeply with it...should have sell it last week...if rice doesn't help, will see if can be fixed and then sell it...

Thinking of getting 6310i for phone calls as I drag iPad 4g with me everywhere so can get emails on it...

I must be the luckiest Nexus owner alive as mine has no problems, works flawlessly all the time and is easily the best phone I have ever had.

Far superior to the 4S and S2 arguably two of the best on the market at the moment

yeah lots have been trouble free, im still sold on the pure android and would rather wait for the Nexus4 than get the S3 for that reason, seeing as the S2 is just now getting Ice Cream....

saying that i cant help but be disappointed with the bugs or faults i have had.

Yeah my Nexus has been faultless, except problems I caused by mucking around where I should have been :D

Now running AOKP milestone 5 and sweet as a nut. Sorry to hear about your problems Jimlad. I agree with you about stock Android, I have a One X too and it just isn't the same.

The vast majority of us here have been problem free, even with the launch radio interference issue.

It's just the odd few that have the same recurrent issue and repeatedly post it.

Almost problem free here as well. Only issue I've had is the mobile signal resetting very occasionally after the most recent update. Only really impacts me when I'm browsing on my phone and bam my signal goes for 30 seconds.

Other gripes include low brightness tint/graining and low battery life amoled display on (both hardware limitations), but I'd still buy it again.
