***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

Meh, I'm happy with my Galaxy Nexus. I had an S3 from work, but didn't swap the phones over.

I know the S3 is twice the speed of the Galaxy Nexus, but I prefer the shape of it.

Nexus 4 looks like an awesome phone, but I can't justify replacing this.

I have an S3 (lte) and a GNex - the general speed+smoothness of most things are about the same tbh now the GNex has Jelly Bean. - the only real advantages of the S3 are more storage and better camera, batterylife.

The GNex design is soo much nicer though :D

^Yeah gotta second that, I've had both the One X and S3 this year and the GNex is best in the hand and the most ergonomic.

Got 4.2 running nicely on my GNex now and it's perfect for my needs. Wish the screen was better though so looking out for the Nexus 4 when it comes back on sale.

I got the update last night at 11/12ish - done this morning and I'm having BT connectivity issues. Won't connect to my car nor my bluetooth speaker dock - well it does, but keeps connecting and disconnecting every few seconds.

Apparently a few people are having the same problem over on the Google forums and on Android forums.

Real PITA!

yeah nothing, i would happily flatten it and do a factory image, wonder why its not up ?

would also like the nexus4, but they are saying 3 weeks for the back orders let alone the mad rush when it does go back on sale... shambles of a launch

Did the takju 4.2 update last night via WugFresh's Nexus Root Toolkit.

I'd already wiped my device about a week ago so no major bother. Did find this time that my paid for apps didn't get restored automatically, but still let me get them from Play store.

Other than that no issues, playing around with lock screen camera and daydream at the moment!

I am tempted to get one of these to tie me over and get a N4 next year when they are readably available.Maybe they will have a 32GB early next year as well.
Yay or Ney?

Only issue I see with doing that is the inevitable price drop of 2nd hand Galaxy Nexus's in the coming months as the N4 becomes more available.

Anyone get the OTA yet? I've been trying to force it since yesterday and it doesn't appear to work yet. Worked first time on my Nexus 7.

edit:

ah, I can see a few people have above. Weird that I can't force it though.
