To add to the confusion:

Dear Customer

Thank you for your recent Pre-Order.

Samsung UK have advised us that stock of the Galaxy Nexus is now due in week commencing the 21st November 2011. We currently expect to take delivery on the 23rd November and expect to send out all Pre Orders the same day.

This delay is out of our control. However, you have our assurance that we will ship orders as soon as the stock arrives.

Please note, we will be among the 1st retailers to receive stock worldwide. If the stock arrives in the UK earlier, we will have it in our warehouse the same day.

Bit the bullet and ordered from Phones4U.

24 months, £31 per month, £59 for the handset with £100 cashback.

Works out at £29.30 per month so seems reasonable enough for me.
 
Just spoke to someone direct at o2 and they wouldn't give me a concrete release date to upgrade to it via them. The only thing she did say was that it would be available by the end of next week, so I guess o2 have been hit by the same delays as most others.

I don't mind waiting a week but I wish there were more concrete dates being set down.

Edit: But someone on xda got this response:

"Just come off the phone with O2.

They said release date is tomorrow and if I call up, they can sort me out an upgrade.

He did say though, that because i've been with O2 for X years they can customise the package to suit my needs so I'm not on a standard tariff

So many mixed messages.
 
As lovely as the woman from CPW in Murraygate Dundee sounded, she was useless. "No idea" was her response for deliveries this week, next week and any other info I asked. "Check the website" I was told....

I agree with you and I fully believe that come tomorrow, they'll announce that they have no stock.

I'm hanging onto the hope that since Phones4U are able to get stock, then why can't an online retailer?

The phone should be being released on the 17th November, but people are complaining they haven't got it yet?

Not been following the thread I see. :p People are discussing probable delays to laying their hands on it. ;)
