Picked up the home max speaker. From John Lewis as was not sure if Google did 2 year warranty or one .

home max looks much much bigger than apple equivalent..was impressed by Apple's playing in JL but home wasn't connected...
how much are fabric cases?

Fabric cases on Google store are £35. Was hoping for a sale bit sadly not .

The max is a beast. It's better than the apple one from what I have read but clearly depends on your eco system . The sound is amazing.

So Vodafone via MPD declined my Pixel 3 XL order even though I have a Nexus 6 with them currently and I just wanted to take a second contract out to do the PAC shuffle of my current out of set time contract.

Anyone got any idea what I can do to sort out getting the phone before the offer finishes???

Bought all the accessories as well today, sigh I have a 971 credit rating on Experian as well too!

I work for cpw and I can tell you that Vodafone are having issues with checks since Friday.

Also the 971 score means nothing.

Its meaning is good in their view when checking my history and the house I live at, but its context anyway.

I just managed to get a call back from Vodafone to check my details and it seems that my existing mobile contract is showing at my parents address still. I had thought it had been updated when I took out Broadband with them in the new house later but it seems not, I would have sorted it myself but their My Vodafone app and site has been down a lot since Thursday.

The lady on the customer services advised that my history and rating is perfect from what she can see. She advised that she used to work in connections and she thought there wasn't a credit reason to explain it, anyway she updated my details (Text through confirming it). She also advised that MPD has had a load of rejects from them in error the last couple of days due to their system problems. I tried a existing contract upgrade yesterday and they were having real issues IT wise then and now today with her it was the same.

Are you trying to get an upgrade or new connection?

Tried the upgrade route first, stupid offer from them for the Pixel 3 XL. So I'm now going to get a second contract and use that for a bit and do the PAC shuffle on the first phone to get it off Vodafone and then back on this new contract once the cool downs finish for each move.

Credit score is an indicator of how good you are at paying your debts but doesn't encompass you as a customer. You could have 999 score but if you have a salary of 50,000 and loans/cards for 80,000, you're not a great recipient. There's other factors too. Walking away from finance agreements, financial links to other people etc.

Yep and as I said in reply there was context to what I said, that being said I have a good Salary, Mortgage, Bank Loan and I make sure to use my credit card on and off paying promptly to show credit history. I'm also a IT Civil servant, all very mundane and its not like its my first time applying for a mobile contract. I have had one for most of my adult life with no defaults. As far as I'm concerned I cant see what else I can do as a normal person making an application for a mobile contract.
